1940 omega bumper with claim of original crown and movement. I checked out the movement using the serial number and seems to be nineteen forties.I bought the watch for 6 seventy five, not a huge amount of money but I don't know...the hands don't look original.. dial suspect..And it's a snapback, something's off.. any thoughts appreciated.

By the way watch came from Argentina i'm not sure if that means anything. But the watch just looks too fresh and new. Thank you and happy holidays to all

It does appear to be a ref 2421. Given the condition, 675 currency units seems little high to me, but hopefully it was just USD, in which case it's not too bad. I would say just enjoy it and hope it keeps running because the movement looks rough.

[Edit] Here is one thread on this reference, there may be others.

Crown looks like a modern fatter replacement? Not sure they had that fat style in the 40s

The -94 isn't a problem there, that is well within the range of adjustment. That said, 202 amplitude is abysmal. Lift angle on those is 50 degrees (IIRC?), so not far enough off to make up for the lack of amplitude.

$675 I'd be quite unhappy with that. ~$450 for a functional bumper in need of a service would put me at a 'reasonably happy' IMO.
