Hello OF,

I just purchased a Omega Seamaster ref 166.087 for a good price with 1171 bracelet which the seller said was original.

I rarely wear watches in steel bracelets and prefer straps, so I swapped the 1171 for a new blue tropic.

I have read a few threads in regards to the 1171, from what I understand the square box logo on the clasp is new the trapezoid is vintage, however mine has neither and appears to have a different claps all together. I did find some examples of mine but not much info.

many help would be appreciated, I have attached photos below

Nice watch!

According to this list, your bracelet reference 1171/648 belongs to your watch reference 166.087 (166.0087).

And here you see your example of the clasp on the earlier 1171 bracelets.

As far as I can see on the fly, everything seems to be good.

Thank you for the info, lots of good info for future reference.

loving this new Seamaster on the Tropic strap.
