I’m not sure if the modern flat foot crown will work. Traditionally your options were a modern logo crown or trying to source a vintage flat foot.

There are no modern wide neck, short pushers, just the thin neck.

Before changing things, keep in mind that your watch, having been recently serviced with replaced crown and pushers, should be waterproof or at least water resistant. If you install vintage replacements, it will not.

Yes. Dial is lovely enjoy your watch congrats
That’s a huge thing for me - actually I would have bought it even if it was relumed, but if it’s rocking its original tritium, that’s an absolutely fantastic bonus

Dial is very nice and with a new strap it will totally change the look in a good way. Enjoy your new vintage Speedmaster!
Thank you!! I’m thinking a nice light caramel coloured leather NATO from Accurate Form in Japan!

I see! In that case I will look out for opportunities to buy the original crown and pushers when I see them at good prices - and of course I will ask here in case I buy the wrong part!

That’s a very good point, and wearability is a big thing for me. My concern would be moisture getting in from humidity or rain and damaging the lovely dial. I think if I see the parts for a good price, I will buy them and then take my time before deciding whether to install them. Do any members on this board have any pushers or crowns for sale?

look at the Watch Parts and Accessories thread they come up now and then. Vintage crowns and pushers have old brittle gaskets which are not replaceable so thats a decision when one considers restoring vintage parts.
You need to have 200 posts before being eligible to post a Want to Buy, but you can certainly DM someone if they are selling something you have interest in.
Welcome and stick around!

I should reach that 200 soon hopefully! It’s a very active forum and very satisfying to talk with the members. I actually started another thread a while ago which you might find interesting. I am having an original Longines 13ZN movement totally restored to museum grade with all hand finishing by my friend Philippe Narbel. He is regarded as being one of the best in the world for anglage. He is chipping away at it a bit at a time and I will share photos there when he updates me! It’s part of a bigger project I am working on but I’m not ready to reveal what that is yet!

Now, more pictures of watch, motorcycle, and scenic Japanese road trip and you've got a quality thread here.
With pleasure! It has been a really memorable time so this watch will have a lot of good memories attached to it!

I have found someone selling a pair of original 105.012 fat neck pushers, but I wanted to check if they seem genuine. I read some posts about members buying fat neck pushers and receiving fake ones, so I would welcome your advice on whether these look good or not. Also, can they actually be fitted into my case?

Only a Watchmaker can tell you, if your Case still has the Pressure Fit Pushers or was converted to screw in Pushers. And, a good Watchmaker can change the Seals in Vintage Crowns and some Pushers. You can buy these Kits with plenty of mini Seals.

I guess I better find a decent watchmaker in Japan who can check that! Was it common for omega to convert them to screw fit pushers during service?
