Only the dial and face furniture looks decent to me, but case looks repolished/remade and back/display case-back (?) looks all funky to me, what with bad perlage on back inner and too-crisp hippocampus - the whole damn caseback looks a rip off to me.

Question is, if the rest of the watch is acceptably decent, is it a buy at US$7K? I think not, would love to hear wider thought.

It looks like this was sent to omega and they replaced everything on it. Bezel, caseback, hands, dial, and maybe even mid case. Even the bracelet is modern.

If you’re looking to a brand new 321 - this is your watch.

Oh lord this watch has seen its share of service parts. A text book example of a “Omega factory service” if you’re not specific on what’s allowed to be done on the watch. There’s very little to nothing of originality in this one left, other than the movement. I believe even the mid case to be a service part, but others may chime in.

I don’t think it’s worth $7000 since it is an entirely service parts watch

That watch is worth the value of the movement plus the second hand value of the modern service parts. Worth no where near $7k

Even on a cellphone... the service dial really kills the value. It’s not even an interesting service dial. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a luminova service dial... I mean they have to exist it’s been 21 years since the change over... There is no value in a luminova service dial.

I did not even need to zoom in to see the modern bracelet and bezel.

The value in these is in originality... there is nothing original left save the movement.

    Avoid.

Calling this watch with the original reference is like calling someone who underwent a heart transplant using the donor's name.
