Someone gifted you a subscription.
If you scroll through your "alerts" you will probably see that you were gifted a subscription.
At least that's where I found it, not sure if it will show if made anonymously.

Ah OK, even though I have alerts turned on I have not received them for quite a while so I am not sure who gifted me a subscription, does anyone know how to turn alerts back on? I have tried turning them off and then on again just now.
Also whoever gifted me the sub can they let me know because I would like to say a big thank you!

I actually didn’t know they could be turned off. For me, shows on the “Latest” tab, then click “alerts” to see the list.

You will still receive alerts when people quote or like a post you make but you can turn off alerts for people just regularly commenting on a post you have participated in.

I used to get email alerts when someone messaged me but I haven't for a while now.
I never knew about the alerts you mention but now can see who has gifted me the subscription and have thanked them, I can sleep well tonight now.

··Pratts! Will I B******S!!!Yup. Two ways. The first is when you participate in a thread. You can either "follow" (under OF Ad in below screenshot) which produces notifications for specific threads or "unfollow" to opt out of said notifications.

Yup, aware of that thanks, but probably wasn’t clear in my post that I was referring to the “like” and “quote” alerts. 👍

No problem, paying for an ad-free yearly subscription!
But please "fine tune" this, since this is a real threat to OF
All the other members or forum guests should also have that unique OF-experience, we all loved for years.
