路Why are OEM Omega NATO straps so expensive? Is there something special about the NATO straps or is it just because of the brand name? Are they worth it?

路The hardware and quality of materials used make it worth it for me. This orange one I have got dirty but with a little gentle soap and toothbrush made it new again 馃榾

路I've tried so many brands and the Omega is still the best. The texture is fantastic and I've detected basically no wear on it after 2 years of use.
They are painfully overpriced, to be sure though.

路I've just seen they've raised in price yet again compared to last year, and not even a subtle increase, 拢170GB, but, having said that, I own many cheaper NATO straps and none of them compare to the Omega NATO. They are superior. The only thing I will say was the Polyamide are quite a bit thicker and are more substantial than the Polyester, which don't reek of high price, in comparison. I though the Polyester was a bit thin. They feel better on compared to cheaper brands, and tend to stay put as opposed to the slide of the cheaper brands. My SPECTRE is 8 years old and still looks as new, so that must count for something regards their prices

路See @Dsloan 鈥檚 post above. I have also successfully used the Omega polyamide NATO on a 50th anniversary GMT.
I think it's super comfortable on the polyamide NATO. Do you mean too thick to feed through the spring bars? If so, I can vouch for it fitting properly and being easy to take on and off.

路That鈥檚 exactly the concern. I鈥檝e tried a leather Omega NATO ON my Watchco Seamaster and it wouldn鈥檛 even go under the spring bars. Thanks for the confirmation!
Just use curved spring bars. That鈥檚 what they are designed for.

Is a 12 o鈥檆lock longer side worth the premium? Debatable, but show me someone else that makes their natos this way.

路I find that the second piece that's supposed to hold the watch in place far too long. That means if you're like me and you need to wear it on the third or second to last hole, the buckle is almost touching the keeper, which looks really ugly in my opinion.
I also wish they'd make a short 280mm version for smaller wristed people.

路路Hears dead people, not watch rotors.If Rolex sold NATO straps at the price Omega gets for theirs, this place would be howling. The Macallan 25 is $3K and I bet it's pretty good. But I'll take The Macallan 18 for a 10th of the price.

路They are very nice NATOs. They are not worth $200. I鈥檝e owned two鈥攐ne I paid retail for; one was free swag from my AD. I鈥檇 never pay for one again. No question they鈥檙e better than the Amazon alternatives but they鈥檙e still, you know, NATOs. And the cost difference is not justified.
I have just enough self respect not to pay that much money for a strip of cloth.

路Here's a couple of natos I got from watchgecko for around 拢25 each that are also excellent quality, and very comparable to an omega nato.
