I like it but I wouldn't trade my 2003 Snoopy for it. I know that most people find the 2003 dull but, besides the history, there's just something about that subtle blue on the black dial with the steel bracelet that does it for me.

https://press.omegawatches.com/omega-launches-the-speedmaster-silver-snoopy-award-50th-anniversary/

last paragraph: “...The timepiece comes with OMEGA’s full 5-year warranty, and will not be a limited production.”

So not LE or LP...

Great color thanks for sharing. That is what I find to be odd and somewhat concerning. They're specifically pointing that out which leads me to believe they're going to make as many as possible and squeeze out every last cent in this campaign.

That was the clarity i was looking for. With all the discussion of LE vs LP, i was under the assumption that it would be at least limited in production in some form. Since this wasn't clearly defined in the language they used, it leads me to believe to believe that it might not even be limited in production either.

I think that we should look at the Apollo 8 watch, which is limited only in the sense that it it produced in low numbers, so Omega will keep this latest watch in its catalogue for a few years, producing the watch in small batches once the initial demand has been met.

I'm fine with this, but is there any reason they would specifically use the language "not limited production" in the presser. Am I reading too much into this, or would this lead you to believe they don't plan to produce in low numbers even.

So.....

I am not going to say any names.... but why are some members showing off that they are important enough or rich enough that they put a deposit down?

I don’t think that is anything to flaunt.

With my little experience in the Rolex world...

Big fish, like really big fish don’t put a deposit down, and don’t call the AD, and don’t sit on a waitlist.

The AD calls them, in an effort to please them.

I’m not a big fish, I’m a tiny algae hahaha

But it’s crazy that some members are seemingly putting others down because they already put a deposit down.

lol
Seems crazy to me that some members still don't understand that this is what the US OB's require even though this has been discussed for the last 3 weeks. Other countries are different and may not even allow deposits. Also, Rolex operates different than Omega if you haven't noticed yet.

Perhaps in order to avoid judge premiums on the grey market?

why does omega state limited right here?
Because the Anniversary series is limited to a million variants. Production of this watch is not limited.

As I understand it is meant to convey that the watch would be in production for a limited period and it's in anniversary series range.

Honestly, no one is concerned about the Lume ?
Compared to the 45th, it seems like this one is very limited in terms of luminova on the dial

Yeah I was hoping for a lume show a la Grey Side but even so I still love it!

S.S Submariners, GMTs, and Daytonas are not 'Limited Edition' or 'Limited Production' either but you don't see them piled up high in the store. 😗

I don't look too much into it.

so I’ll start another rumor with absolutely no basis!!!

Omega will remove the 50th anniversary from the sundial after 1 yr when it goes into regular production thus giving the first depositors their “Limited series”.

Very true, but I think to compare availability of those watches from Rolex vs a speedmaster from Omega is still a stretch.

I called my OB just now and he is saying I will get one so I went ahead and pulled the trigger. Early 2021 delivery for me he thinks with VIP/other clients getting first ones. I have no interest in selling it ever and it's to celebrate a special occasion so it will be a keeper and a wearer so the MSRP being high doesn't bother me too much. If it was buying for no reason "just because" I would reconsider.
