I was told the # is 2020.
Doubt it, but if the design is not compelling 2020 units may be enough. Omega has issued some 'dogs' over the years.

I think they will stick the 3861 into it and then have it become standard in the regular Speedmaster next year. The same way they made the 321 in precious metal then it became stainless.

OT, but for those looking to scratch a space Speedy itch, Away on Netflix is absolutely lousy with Speedmasters. So-so drama but some fine watches.

My AD isn’t taking deposits and hasn’t heard anything. Yet.

If you're in new york, I would happily take you up on that offer (although I have a feeling we won't be discussing much tax law)! By the time deliveries roll around, there will hopefully be several things to celebrate.

If travel gets back to normal for me I’m there 3-4 weekends a year. Will look you up for a Snoopy G2G.

Where can I find it? Honest question.
You won't find it, it will find you. It will be all over the watch internet the instant Omega releases the embargo, you won't be able to avoid it.

We are now on page 68, let's try to get to page 70......you know, 1970. Once it is released this thread will be deader than a doornail.

It wasn’t a flex. I was pointing out direct facts that I had — a 45 snoopy and a $7k deposit. In hindsight, I had no idea how fortunate I was to get the 45th snoopy. I wanted to share my direct experience with what occurred during that time with deposits, getting the watch, price appreciation, and comments about its appearance with this group. As for the deposit, I wanted to be clear that it was a financial choice I could make given the whole “why would anyone (implying foolish) put down a deposit on a watch they’ve never seen?” comments earlier.

As for strategic leaks, we will find out soon enough whether any of us received any from their OBs. I don’t presume to know what Omega defines as corporate secrets. Companies like Apple consider even the smallest detail a corporate secret. It was that people were so adamant that their information was the right leaked information. Given how inconsistent their deposit policy was in the US and elsewhere, it was clear there wasn’t a lot of information was coming from corporate. Therefore, we should all be suspicious of any product leaks as well.

The whole point is that it’s fun to speculate but we shouldn’t take ourselves too seriously.

I mean it wouldn't be a flex if you weren't pointing out direct facts lol. Anyways good for you though, the 45th is an awesome watch and I'm happy you were able to get one.

AAPL can try to consider any small detail a corporate secret because they're the largest company in the world with a reach and interest that is frankly not even on the same planet as Omega/Swatch. Even then, they feed small leaks before launches, and as long as no pics are released, they're ok as far as maintaining "corporate secrets" go.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with speculation on this forum, and understand the weight (lack thereof) it carries. However, my issue is if OBs/SAs that take it upon themselves to make things up that are simply not true. It's one thing to say "I don't know for sure, but I heard or think it will be this," vs "yes I can confirm it will be this because I heard it directly from corporate." I've been getting a lot of the latter which is why I'm inclined to believe it's true. Now if it' not, either corporate are feeding them false info, or they are just taking the liberty of making things up. Not the end of the world obviously, but the latter is just a pet peeve of mine.

No worries. I always felt this thread was meant to be fun but people took it way too seriously. I know tone doesn’t come across well in a forum or the web and I write more formally than I speak. I was just bothered by all the vitriol about who was more right and why people would spend their money on things they haven’t seen. Perhaps I should stop commenting here. I thought I was helping people who were interested in the watch by sharing my experiences.
