I think that some of the trade press; Fratello, Hodinkee etc, have seen the watch (or at least images) but have signed non disclosure agreements to keep quiet until Omega make the announcement.
This is correct, when the embargo is lifted all the different watch sites will immediately publish stories and pics of the watch. Since the embargo will most likely be lifted early on Monday, Oct. 5th (Central European Time) all these sites already have access to the pictures and details in order to write their stories, do their layout, etc. They know if they break this embargo they'll be cut out of any future releases so they don't leak, they have a lot to lose. We are only a little over 48 hours away from the release.....the clock is ticking.

Very clear
It has a lot of blue
It is around 7000.- €
It is the new caliber but not the 321
The dealers can order only up to a small number

what else you want
If it's around 7000€ what does that normally equate to for US pricing? Maybe $8500?

A11 50SS was €9100/$9650 so don't think it would be $8500.

Does NAM usually price at a discount to straight EUR/USD cross?

Don't quite understand your question, I do know the 005 is €4900/$5350 RRP.

He's asking if North America normally prices lower when converted across from EUR to USD. I think it depends on the watch and when it was released.

So if it's 7000€ then maybe $7500-$8000 USD? If it is well below $9000, I'll be quite happy.

Is North American prices including taxes?

Let's wait and see, we'll know after the weekend which hearsay was nearest to the truth.

No, taxes are set by individual states, I do know taxes are not as high as in Europe.

Federal taxes and/or duties are included in the list price, but any state/local sales taxes are not. And those can be in the 6 to 9% range. A few states have no sales taxes.

How pricing works in the US has always been odd to me.

When I wanted to buy a cup of tea (NYC) the price on the board wasn't the price I had to pay, taxes came on top of that whilst in NL it is included.

In case of a watch some people based on their state pay less than others.

The reason is people are to be made aware of the state/local taxes paid, hence the posted price does not include those taxes. It's just the way it is done.

Kinda surprising no OBs in 0% sales tax states like OR, DE, NH. Any particular reason they shy away from these areas?

DE and NH are too small and are close enough to other major cities to not need one. Oregon seems large enough to warrant a boutique in Portland but I guess Seattle is close enough.

Let’s not be so harsh on OBs. We may be hanging on the edge of our seat but to many working for Omega answering your question is just another day at the office.

Many may give you just what they’ve heard along the way, doesn’t mean they are lying if they get it wrong.

If omega gets it right for you be happy, if they get it wrong; there’s bigger problems in the world today.

Relax and enjoy your weekend.

I think people forget that they are employees of Omega. By telling you confidential information, they are sharing corporate secrets. Now if corporate says you can share x, then sure.

How many of you go around sharing corporate secrets with random people?

Boutique employees aren't given corporate confidential information.

There's an OB in Portland. They said it was going to be an LE and they would be lucky to get one. It would go to someone who had spent 50k there.

So yeah, no sales tax. If he's right, no watches either.

None of them know anything, at least we know that much. Plus, the dial will say Omega and Speedmaster.
