For the Toronto folks on wait-list at the Yorkdale AD, a rep told me today that they received a total of 2 watches this year, and are still expecting to fulfill all 100 orders on their wait-list.

At this fulfillment rate, the MSRP might be higher than the current gray market price if/when mine gets fulfilled...
Wow, with that track record, the last guy on the lists kids will be picking up the watch.

They are delusional if they think they will all of sudden start getting multiple pieces a month all of a sudden after getting 2 pieces in the 3 years.

They are playing with peoples money, but would never tell anyone that.

Even if they started getting 3 pieces a month, it would take almost 3 years to fulfill those 100 orders. OBs get 1 a month. The math simply doesn't make sense for how they could fulfill the 100 orders unless the 50th Ani. Snoopy was in production for another 10 years.

Which is why it can sometimes make sense to go grey, have it on your wrist and be done with the wait for 'the call' which just rubs me the wrong way. The grey price probably isn't going to tank and an owner would likely not be hurt when he sells it in the future (and every watch in every collection will eventually get sold, if not by the owner than his estate) But some people won't pay a dime over retail; their choice.

My feeling is the demand for this watch will not forever be linear. 100 people on the list could very well be a handful over time. The price keeps rising, the hype dies down, people move on. The ones who've set their minds to it and are still fully committed and dedicated will be the final customers for this watch. After that only the flippers remain, until market saturation. When list- and greyprice converge the fun stops. We are not very far off.

The demand will def come down… people are getting tired of waiting at some point, and there is always something new coming out here and there where they can put their money…

The longer people wait the more emotionally invested in a project they become. Most will hang on.

TBH a lot of people are probably just on the list and going about their daily lives.

Thats basically me, except I started bugging my OB a bit more the last few months cause they said they were close to getting me one. I have no deposit down and it hasnt influenced my decisions on buying other pieces ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’m in the same boat, when I get the call, I get the call. The 321 was the one I wanted more anyways and I got it. My OB did text me this weekend with pics of the 321 platinum with meteorite sub dials as well as the new titanium gmt. They just got those 2 in. I was tempted to go down and try them but passed.

Although the watch may still be in production, I think that a lot of people that want it and are in the “waitlist”, will unfortunately not get it. This watch is in really in high demand and I doubt production will ever meet the demand… Looks like very few are being produced and delivered to OBs and ADs. My AD told me a Daytona would be easier to get than a Snoopy…

If true then "Mission Accomplished" as far as Omega is concerned.

Guys,

Do you think a price of $14000 worth it regarding the rising price policy and the fact that even on the list I can't be sure that I will get the call even before the end of 2025 ?
I don't buy watches as investment but if I can't overbuy one I also take it.

Thanks

$14,000 is a good price in today's market. Haven't seen any that low on the secondary market.

$14000 is good. At the OB, with tax, it almost $12000. As for rarity, my OB sees about 1 per month. So my guess is if you are on the list and above the 20th in line, you will probably see one. If they do stop making them, I would imagine it would be late 2024 or thereabouts. Now if you are looking for a 321 at the OB, good luck. My OB got 1 this year and it was mine.

An OB manager isn't privy to what Omega management in Bienne is planning re. production levels or when the watch will stop being produced. It might be true, it might not be. We just don't know what the status is on how the wait list is being whittled down, or if Omega may just decide there have been enough Snoopy's produced even though some on a wait list might not get one.

I heard 2 months before the new white dial speedy gets announced/released so that makes this a bit more believable.

Kinda true that OB managers wouldn't know what Bienne is planning, unless Bienne decided to give them a heads up. OBs aren't flying blind, they just get only the info that Bienne feels like giving them.

Do you know if your AD has gotten any Snoopys yet? In North America very few ADs have got a Snoopy and if they have its been one or 2 pieces thus far.
