Hi just wondering why is the market price of snoopy falling. From 30,000 USD to 20,000 USD.

will it further fall/ stabilise or go up?

this snoopy like previous ones is not a limited edition !!!!
You’ve answered your own question. It’s not limited edition. If all had now been delivered I would be happy to pay current market price but I’m still on the list and still hoping to get one so not happy to pay 50% more than retail. I think as more keep reaching the market it will continue to fall. It might fall to just 15-20% above retail. When Omega stop production it will then be limited to how many have reached the market and there will potentially be a short spike with a steady rise after that.

All in my opinion of course.

I've seen them sell for as low as $17k USD on Moda.

If your thinking to buy one grey, then now might be the best time. I'd be surprised if Omega was still producing them going into 2025, I'd guess another year or so of production. The second they do get discontinued it will be selling for $25k again.

There's about 130+ listed on Chrono24.. so the 'getting these in the hands of the true collector' strategy must be working well.

Recent auction result hit ~$15K (+ fees): https://loupethis.com/auctions/omeg...rsary-silver-snoopy-award-310-32-42-50-02-001

Hope the resellers are sweating now.

Hopefully the flippers eventually end up losing money after auction/transaction fees, taxes they paid when buying the watch, and opportunity cost by not having the money in a MMF/bond making money at 5.5%. It was very frustrating having to wait nearly 3 years to buy mine while seeing people who got theirs ahead of me (before the price increase I had to pay, too) just turn around to flip.

Flippers/resellers serve a purpose in an economic market, many people don't like it but that's the way the free market system works to clear itself. Trying to fix prices seldom works in the long run. I see 88 BNIB, unworn, Snoopy's for sale on C24, the lowest at $17,800 and going up from there. Even at some discount that may be available the sellers are still making a good profit, the market is in no way collapsing. The resellers are NOT going to lose money on these watches, they may make less than they hoped but they aren't going to the poor house. As in any product the manufacturer does not set the actual price, the market sets it, and for the last three years the market says Omega has underpriced the Snoopy watch at ~$10,000. Don't get hung up on reality, if you insist you won't pay more than Omega's price than you'll have to wait for 'the call', but other people have been wearing the Snoopy for a few years now and enjoying it because they weighed the market price and found it acceptable. No right, no wrong, people decide on what the fair price is at any moment.

I agree with Evitzee. It’s a little frustrating but ultimately it’s how capitalism works. Almost everything is for sale at the right price, whether we like it or not. My snoopy II isn’t for sale as it was a wedding present but if someone offered me the money to pay my mortgage off I’d snap their hand off.

I think I would currently pay a maximum of 20% (£2,000) above retail for this watch with me being on the list still. If I wasn’t nearing the top of the waiting list I’d probably pay bottom end of current market price.

Got mine in Dec 20 and still love wearing it (a lot). My 5 and 8 year old nephews enjoyed getting “Snoopy” to appear and disappear at the weekend

$17,000 including fees. How much is retail in your country?
It's currently $10,600 in the USA.

Plus sales-tax in certain states on top of the hammer price.

Don't think I understand Chrono prices.. do they include or exclude VAT? And what if we're VAT exempt?

Chrono24 adds in sales tax after so if it's listed at $17k expect to pay $17k plus sales tax. VAT isn't included in that price for the most part since these are resellers so don't expect a VAT refund from European sellers if shipping to the US.

The OB manager of a big boutique told me last week that he receives only 1 Snoopy per month, no more.
He also told me that he did not receive more than before, more or less 10-12 per year.

What is the manager doing with the Snoopys he receives? Is he still filling prepaid orders or selling them to his favorite customers?

No deposit is required to be included on the wishing list. The manager must receive agreement from the parent company to assign a watch.
I can't say for sure but that's what I understood.

I once refused to buy an Omega at over retail price. $11k for the watch. The Silver Snoopy 45th. It was later offered again at $13k and then $17k. I said no way I’d pay those prices.

A year later one sold on here in the low $30’s, and they’re out there now in the 40’s.

And I don’t have one because I stood on my principles. Showed them, huh.

If a watch is really appealing to you, spend market value and get it. Life’s short, YOLO, and all that.

I’d love a 45th, but I can’t pay at that level. I did buy a Rolex Daytona for $13k (2017) instead, and it’s a nice watch.

And I put down $18k-ish with partial trade for the 50th last month because I’ll never get it at retail. Wearing it today.

But it isn’t a Silver Snoopy 45th. Sigh…

I feel your pain! I was also in the market for a silver snoopy and could have got one at retail when first released, had I known about it! As my local ad had trouble shifting them! He told me that one had sat in the window for a few months before it eventually got sold! When I first got interested in the watch, the price had reached £10k. So I stood my ground hoping it would come down in price! But everyone knows what ended up happening! 🙁

So when the 50th Snoopy got announced, I immediately put my name down for the watch! Unfortunately it’s been 3 years now and still on the waiting list for it! Did pop into the AD recently and was told that I will definitely get one allocated to me! So fingers crossed! Hopefully the wait isn’t too long now!

I was in Japan again this past week…. Went to nakano broadway in Tokyo and was suprised how low 50th anniversary snoopies were. Around £15-17k which I thought was a reasonable price…

I went their intent on buying the 45th edition fo take advantage of low yen and overall cooling of watch market but there was not one to be seen…. Sigh.

As soon as Snoopy will no longer be on sale the prices will increase, I know from my OB manager is that he does not receive more than before. Still very few are delivered.

Is anybody out there looking to buy a Snoopy on the grey market at some point, like me? What's your target price?

I’m still on a waiting list. Think I was 5th and 3 have been delivered. I would probably pay 20% above retail for an as new stickered grey market watch which I think would be around £12,000 GBP.
