Received my Snoopy today. Here's the story:

Put down initial deposit in June of 2020 (50%) and full payment on the day it was officially announced (I think Oct 5). Was told since I was first with both deposits, I'd get the first one in November. Well...that didn't work out once Geneva decided to handle all the allocations.

I had previously purchased two other Omegas, but from an AD not the OB. These purchases didn't count.

I felt communication was very poor through the process. One call for an update that was unsolicited. I checked in several times but couldn't be given any sort of time frame. I honestly came very close on multiple occasions in asking for a refund and purchasing either another Omega or a different brand. The concept of sitting on a deposit with no known expectation was quite frustrating.

I had seriously considered finally pulling the plug last week, but then work interfered and I didn't. Then I got the call today and all the original excitement returned and the almost 2 years of frustration disappeared. I still wanted to be frustrated due to the delay, but why interfere with happiness?

Observations: Better looking in person than on any video or picture. Beautiful shade of blue and the silver/white dial is a perfect contrast. The shape of the case makes it probably my favorite of all of my watches. It definitely isn't a lume monster, but that's ok.

The fun aspect of the case back is even better in person also. The earth has much more texture and detail. It's silly and whimsical to see Snoopy fly around the moon and the texture on the moon (and photorealism) is a fun contrast to the hand drawn snoopy capsule flying around it and the abstract vision of the earth. Really a neat trifecta of different artistic renderings and styles all coming together as one.

Probably the biggest negative is the band. It's very stiff and initially the watch really didn't wear comfortably which is very unusual for a Speedmaster. It is slowly breaking in today and is a little better than earlier. Was surprised by this.

I'm glad I waited. I had a constant concern that they would refund my deposit or I'd continue to wait. Now, I have a nice addition to my collection that represents many different things to me.
Congratulations. You need to show pictures.

Congrats on getting the watch! Very excited and happy for you.

I'm very close to canceling but your post today has persuaded me to wait a bit longer. Fingers crossed...

I hope you do wait a little longer. I was in your shoes and was very frustrated at the lack of communication and not even a date range.
I’m hopeful that more are being produced and everyone on the list gets theirs soon.

Recently picked up after a 2 year wait from boutique and what a super special piece. If you can wait, I would highly recommend and worth it.

I'm a long time lurker here. I placed my full deposit when the watch was announced and I am still waiting too. Every once in a while I consider cancelling due to lack of communication from the OB, but then get lazy about it and wait on. I hope our patience pays off soon for both of us.

If this makes anybody feel any better, I was called within 5 minutes of it arriving and had it on my wrist within an hour. Once it gets there, they probably won't sit on it very long before calling. Might be worth asking them if there is a regular day they get their shipments.

Update for you data collectors:

Full deposit made in December of 2019 at a US OB. I have been mainly a vintage collector, hence no purchase history at OB.

During my wait, About a year ago, I purchased an Apollo 8. I was hesitant during previous offerings of that watch because of my wrist size, but I love it.

Finally got the call for the Snoopy and received my watch a couple of days ago. 2 years and 7 months after deposit. Yay!

My wrist size is 6.5”, so I purchased the deployant short band from an Aquaterra which fits perfectly. The back side of the strap is different than the Snoopy strap, but the top is the same. The other option was a short Snoopy strap for the tang, but I prefer deployants.

The strap on the left is the Aquaterra strap. It has less of a taper (I think to 18mm) vs the Snoopy goes down to 16mm at the tang. The middle strap is the short tang Snoopy strap, and the original on the watch. Adding the 16mm deployant to the Snoopy short strap places the deployant in a very uncomfortable position at the side of the wrist, so that was a no go.

Please can you provide product codes for the strap and deployant clasp as I would like to do the same. Many thanks.

My receipt shows 0032CWZ005723 for the strap and 094521883 for the deployant. Googling the strap number doesn’t show the strap, so I’ll confirm the next time I’m in the OB.

Fits perfectly centered on my 6.5” wrist. The outer stitch is ever so slightly whiter, the taper is to 18mm, and the underside of the strap has red stitching and no moon shot route impression.

That's cool you're a judge at the Championships. Pretty impressive performance by Olivia Reeves at only 19 years old.

I picked up the sport last year and really enjoy it even though I'm not that good due to lack of mobility.

That looks really good. Should I get my Snoopy, I may do the same. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing this.

I didn’t know they made short tang straps. Would you happen to know if they make longer ones?
