Received a call from the boutique today that they had a gift for me. Didn’t know what to expect , but it exceeded my expectations.

Don’t know if I like the jacket more than the watch. Wao. That is a lot of love. Enjoy.

Eh. I’d wear the watch. Not the jacket.

I'm not optimistic about my chances in the US because I did not put down a deposit right away and instead tossed my name in only after seeing the sample at the boutique. ...I was able to obtain an Ed White 321 after waiting over a year as I was on the list etc. I haven't asked recently about it so, I guess I'll do that now and see where things stand. With the economy teetering, maybe the slots will open up more?
The Ed White 321 blows the Snoopy out of the water, imo. I have the Ed White 321, and was never in the market for a Snoopy, but if given the choice between the two it would be the Ed White, hands down. But good luck with you finally getting the call for a Snoopy.

As the owner of both, I concur with your view. Don’t get me wrong the snoop is a nice watch, but the 321 is the one that if push came to shove would remain - and it isn’t close.

I think they’re both special, but for very different reasons. I’ve tried both on and discussed both with my OB, but a key factor for me is that the steel 321 is a 39.7mm dial and the Snoopy is 42mm, so if you’re used to wearing larger watches then the 321 feels small. :-(

I agree that the 321 has an allure to it that comes from the finishing as well as the huge effort to bring the movement back in house at Omega. Still, the silver dial is a nice feature on the Snoopy.

I think people knew, somehow it just hasn’t been discussed. Here’s picture I took last year when I received my watch.

I sure as hell didn’t know and don’t really remember seeing anyone talking about this until it was mentioned on TRF.

Zounds! That's a pretty sweet Easter egg. How could this appear on TRF before OF?!

Shame on you, OF Snoopy owners -- you owe it to your plebe constituents here to be first with such news!!!

Yeah, 248 pages into this thread and I never heard of it. And there have been some pretty esoteric little things that have been discussed.

Me neither. Never heard of it and certainly hadn’t noticed myself although I don’t generally shine UV lights on my watches. Quite cool however

I wouldn’t be so sure.

The NEW321 doesn’t look any smaller than the 42mm Tokyo2020 or the 41mm Sub. In fact, to my eye, the NEW321 reads as larger than both the Tokyo2020 or the Sub.

Like with the Snoopy, the Tokyo2020 has a black bezel over a white dial, which combined reads visually smaller than its measured size, and compared to the NEW321’s black-on-black arrangement which reads larger than its measured size.

Received my Snoopy today. Here's the story:

Put down initial deposit in June of 2020 (50%) and full payment on the day it was officially announced (I think Oct 5). Was told since I was first with both deposits, I'd get the first one in November. Well...that didn't work out once Geneva decided to handle all the allocations.

I had previously purchased two other Omegas, but from an AD not the OB. These purchases didn't count.

I felt communication was very poor through the process. One call for an update that was unsolicited. I checked in several times but couldn't be given any sort of time frame. I honestly came very close on multiple occasions in asking for a refund and purchasing either another Omega or a different brand. The concept of sitting on a deposit with no known expectation was quite frustrating.

I had seriously considered finally pulling the plug last week, but then work interfered and I didn't. Then I got the call today and all the original excitement returned and the almost 2 years of frustration disappeared. I still wanted to be frustrated due to the delay, but why interfere with happiness?

Observations: Better looking in person than on any video or picture. Beautiful shade of blue and the silver/white dial is a perfect contrast. The shape of the case makes it probably my favorite of all of my watches. It definitely isn't a lume monster, but that's ok.

The fun aspect of the case back is even better in person also. The earth has much more texture and detail. It's silly and whimsical to see Snoopy fly around the moon and the texture on the moon (and photorealism) is a fun contrast to the hand drawn snoopy capsule flying around it and the abstract vision of the earth. Really a neat trifecta of different artistic renderings and styles all coming together as one.

Probably the biggest negative is the band. It's very stiff and initially the watch really didn't wear comfortably which is very unusual for a Speedmaster. It is slowly breaking in today and is a little better than earlier. Was surprised by this.

I'm glad I waited. I had a constant concern that they would refund my deposit or I'd continue to wait. Now, I have a nice addition to my collection that represents many different things to me.

I've had mine since November and I've never worn it on the band. When I got it, I switched it out to my blue rubber strap until I got the 3861 polished bracelet. I think the watch looks much better on the 3861 bracelet vs the band.
