Let's wait and see, time will tell. You know US is not all of the world.
Yes, the US number isn't the world number but the CEO saying everyone on the list can get one when the list was 15k and then booting people off the list doesn't bode well. Well he's not lying that everyone on the US list got one, it's not exactly unlimited production to 100% satisfy demand.

Each country gets a percentage of units on a scale set by Omega.
Knowing that there is countries like the US and UK that would have probably triple what the allotment was ever going to be.

Hypothetically
If the US was say 10% of world sales.
Switzerland would probably be something like 22%

The US got somewhere around 800 Apollo 11 50th watches, about 11% of the total. The Snoopy was way oversubscribed in the US which is why they had to trim the list, even if you had a full deposit on the watch. The list got out of control and Omega had to fix it.

That still sort of proves my point that not everyone that wants a Snoopy will get one. If that were the case then there wouldn't be a % of units scale or allotment for the watch and there definitely wouldn't have been returned deposits at the boutiques.

It’s not, of course, but Omega had a specific system for deposits in the US.
Clients with a confirmed deposit, that was not returned, have their allocation guaranteed.
This is for US market only.

You keep ignoring the fact that many people had their deposits taken by an Omega Boutique and were subsequently cut from the list and their deposits returned. So Omega's specific system was not followed, it broke. You are taking a lot for granted to believe that those that didn't have their deposits returned are guaranteed a watch. Omega could very well decide to refund those deposits any time they want. Twenty months into this project, with deposits taken but little to no word from Omega as to when a watch can be expected, wouldn't fill me with confidence that I was guaranteed a watch just because they are holding my money.

I can speak for my experience:

I put a deposit.

They requested payment in full soon after the presentation.

They told me my watch was guaranteed and they put that in written in an email.

They gave me an estimate of delivery, that was corrected later on. Initially it was 3 months wait 😀

They told me they would have delivered in 2022, and confirmed that a couple of months ago.

I’m picking up my watch in a couple of weeks.

The wait and delay were frustrating but they maintained the promise with me and with other clients that I personally know.
So, no blame from my side.

Hi everyone; I know this is probably not the right thread to ask this, but I really need some advice. I’m looking to purchase a omega sailing bracelet but I’m struggling to decide on which material is best. Nylon or rubber? If you have one, your experience with it will be appreciated

You’re right, this is not the place you should ask this question. Find better thread or start the new one.

Heard rumors of omega going to close 50% of the AD's in the Netherlands at the end of this year so chances I'm getting a Snoopy are slim to none now. I left my deposit of the A11 50SS at the AD in 2019 for a posdible A13 but who knew they would change their sales strategy like they have done with the Snoopy.

My experience has not been as orderly as yours.

Nearly 2 years in (first with a deposit then full payment) and STILL NO delivery date. Monthly emails to the OB and all I receive are reports of 1 to 2 deliveries per month (max). I'm about to give up on this watch and on Omega.

PS - Congrats chadeaux on picking up your watch in a couple of weeks. I hope you enjoy and that the watch is as good as I've been led to believe.

Stay positive, they will deliver.
I had the same feeling, but in the end everything worked out well.
It’s a waiting game.

I'm not optimistic about my chances in the US because I did not put down a deposit right away and instead tossed my name in only after seeing the sample at the boutique. ...I was able to obtain an Ed White 321 after waiting over a year as I was on the list etc. I haven't asked recently about it so, I guess I'll do that now and see where things stand. With the economy teetering, maybe the slots will open up more?

Ok; I just heard back and asked should I just give up and he basically said to hang tight. I thought he would say, let it go, so it doesn't sound like it's off the table.

I've had similar responses from my OB and I too did not initially put down a deposit. I only expressed my interest in summer 2021 after I tried on a sample in the boutique.

I was traveling to Las Vegas last weekend and got to see one at a boutique. The watch was assign to a high spending client. I thought it was really nice from the staff to show me. You can tell they were sharing my passion for their product. You’d never see that at Rolex store, they just pretend their vault is empty…
Now makes me even more impatient to receive mine, but I’m in Canada and my AD hasn’t seen one delivered yet…

Received a call from the boutique today that they had a gift for me. Didn’t know what to expect , but it exceeded my expectations.
