Yes, the US number isn't the world number but the CEO saying everyone on the list can get one when the list was 15k and then booting people off the list doesn't bode well. Well he's not lying that everyone on the US list got one, it's not exactly unlimited production to 100% satisfy demand.
Let's wait and see, time will tell. You know US is not all of the world.
It’s not, of course, but Omega had a specific system for deposits in the US.
Clients with a confirmed deposit, that was not returned, have their allocation guaranteed.
This is for US market only.
You keep ignoring the fact that many people had their deposits taken by an Omega Boutique and were subsequently cut from the list and their deposits returned. So Omega's specific system was not followed, it broke. You are taking a lot for granted to believe that those that didn't have their deposits returned are guaranteed a watch. Omega could very well decide to refund those deposits any time they want. Twenty months into this project, with deposits taken but little to no word from Omega as to when a watch can be expected, wouldn't fill me with confidence that I was guaranteed a watch just because they are holding my money.
Hi everyone; I know this is probably not the right thread to ask this, but I really need some advice. I’m looking to purchase a omega sailing bracelet but I’m struggling to decide on which material is best. Nylon or rubber? If you have one, your experience with it will be appreciated
I can speak for my experience:
I put a deposit.
They requested payment in full soon after the presentation.
They told me my watch was guaranteed and they put that in written in an email.
They gave me an estimate of delivery, that was corrected later on. Initially it was 3 months wait 😀
They told me they would have delivered in 2022, and confirmed that a couple of months ago.
I’m picking up my watch in a couple of weeks.
The wait and delay were frustrating but they maintained the promise with me and with other clients that I personally know.
So, no blame from my side.
My experience has not been as orderly as yours.
Nearly 2 years in (first with a deposit then full payment) and STILL NO delivery date. Monthly emails to the OB and all I receive are reports of 1 to 2 deliveries per month (max). I'm about to give up on this watch and on Omega.
Stay positive, they will deliver.
I had the same feeling, but in the end everything worked out well.
It’s a waiting game.
Ok; I just heard back and asked should I just give up and he basically said to hang tight. I thought he would say, let it go, so it doesn't sound like it's off the table.
