Omega said these were not limited, they want everyone who wants one to get one.

It was something like that, I recall.

There was the word “eventually” embedded in that phrase… 😉

The accepted wisdom is that if you are on the list and have been promised a Snoopy you will get a Snoopy. Maybe, maybe not. Omega will decide when they cut off the Snoopy train. Some may be disappointed.

I don't remember anything Omega saying about a list.

List was for controlling the initial response.

That's not what they said. Everyone who wants one will get one.

We'll see, right?

Eventually, man, eventually… that’s what they said and that’s the key!

anyway, clients that made request at the very beginning are getting their watches. It’s taking a while but they are delivering.
It’s just a matter of being patient.

Omega better be careful, if they end up returning a majority of deposits from OBs and ADs there will be A LOT of upset customers.

I for one if I get my deposit returned after 2 or 3 years, I will never buy another Omega again. If they returned my deposit after a year, I could live with that but I'm approaching 2 years now and keep getting told I'm getting the watch from my AD.

Rolex plays games.....pretend to take names... never deliver but they NEVER keep someones money for 2 years then return it.

Finally got the call yesterday after making the initial $5k deposit at my local OB on release and paying the balance of the total towards the end of 2021. I had a speed bump on the road when my local OB closed end of 2021, just after I was told I was "next" to get mine. Another OB a little further away was transferred my allocation (as well as those from 2 other boutiques that closed). Went down after work and picked it up. It's definitely beautiful and presented well.

Congratulations! Hopefully everyone will get theirs in due course

Where are you located? I wasn’t aware any Omega OBs had closed.

If Omega owned OB's returned deposits now, that would be shitty and would understand never buying an Omega again.

I'd place less blame on Omega if AD's did that since Omega can't control AD's lying to their customers saying they're going to receive 200 Snoopy's knowing they won't get that many.

I'm not sure how lists and deposits are working for the Snoopy but my own experience in the UK was that I was on no list and left no deposit. But I did walk into the OB one day, said I'd like to buy one if they had one in and they brought one from out the back for me. This is a boutique that I've bought a number of watches from including both Speedy Tuesdays, current Snoopy and 321. As well as "regular" models. As I understand it, boutiques are receiving about 1 per month of the Snoopy. And OBs genuinely do want customers that really want the watches to get one rather than those that will sell them straight on. They are loosely monitoring watches that go straight to the secondary market.

That is pretty surprising. An excellent result for you, I guess.

Communication with customers, especially those who have made substantial deposits, regarding likely delivery schedules seems to have been the main source of angst and understandably so.

Mine was reserved with deposit at an AD where I have purchased perhaps a dozen watches over the years. They are in the top 3 Omega dealers in Canada and to date they have received precisely zero of the 10 Snoopys they were allocated. They did close the waiting list at 40+ around a year ago.

I love my Omegas -- they are superb watches at a fair price for what they offer. I will never again undergo a multi-year wait on a watch that may or may not ever arrive, leaving many thousands tied up with an AD for the privilege. I don't care if Rolex, AP or whoever does it -- deeply irritating and unpleasant experience, and one that is hard to forget or even perhaps forgive.

I always found the "I got the call!!!" threads on long-awaited Rolexes odd and puzzling. And yet here we are.

I'm pretty sure deposits at OB's in the US were allowed but not in the UK due to UK laws. Obviously a deposit with an Omega owned OB is much safer vs a deposit at an AD. If I had a deposit at an AD, I would be pretty worried and frustrated.

Given the limited supply making its way through to OBs in large cities, I would imagine ADs will struggle to get many, if any of the allocation.

I must admit to moving away from Rolex due to the ridiculous hoops ADs think you should jump through to get a watch. Luckily I've always been much more of an Omega fan. They have treated me brilliantly for nearly 10 years of buying through them and dealing with them and I have a great relationship with them.

Theoretically there is no allocation because this watch is not a limited edition, Omega can make as many as they want. If they choose to satisfy market demand they could do that, or they could shut supply permanently at any point leaving many would be buyers with no watch. No one is privy to the numbers or Omega's strategy, it's a black box. We seem to have some sort of Wizard-of-Oz type character twirling knobs behind a curtain to decide who gets a watch and when. That's the frustrating part.

South Florida. 2 down here closed and a third in Latin America closed.

This is not surprising to me that someone with long history at a corporate OB was able to get a watch. The significant majority of these watches will go to Omega’s own stores and not to independently owned ADs. Build history with the brand directly if you want priority. The ADs have long hurt the brand recognition and value retention by selling watches with discounts above minimum set by Omega or by feeding inventory to grey market. Not fair to expect 30% or more discount (or any discount) on regular in stock models and also expect to get Snoopy easily when demand exceeds supply.

I'm assuming you're speaking generally here. In Canada there is a single OB located in a Vancouver hotel. There is little chance of building any direct relationship with that OB or its representatives unless you're based nearby, and 30 million or so Canadians lack that foundation for the direct relationship you recommend. . Everywhere else in Canada there is the expectation that Omega does its main business via its AD network. IMO, either a brand grows with and supports that AD network which is the main venue for it watches, and thereby supplies and supports its customers, or it abandons that AD network and sells directly.

My original Snoopy deposit has gone into a JLC. That purchase was straightforward, satisfying and the watch is absolutely superb. In those respects it was very like those Omega purchases that kept me loyal to the brand for a good many years,

100%. It will be interesting to see what omega will do in Canada, specifically in the Toronto market. Largest city in Canada without an OB

I don't mind parking my deposit there for years, as long as I get the product at the end. And also the lack of communication is a huge no no for me. The experience isn't ideal. An email or call stating ur watch will come but we don't have any update on time line is better than silence.

Honestly Rolex, ap, pp r a joke. The demand is driven by profits on paper from the watches not from love towards the products or brand. Esp Rolex, they make over a million watches a year lol
