I was recently in Bristol branch of Goldsmiths and while talking to sale associate about the Snoopy celebration, he mentioned that all stock in the group had to be sent back to Omega due to an issue with the caseback. Didn't know the details, but was wondering if anyone has heard this? Any truth in this? and if so what's the issue with the caseback if there is an issue?
Wow, that's breaking news.
I'd be very grateful if someone can confirm this point and extension of the issue (if there's one).

More like theyre trying to save face for taking full deposits from people they cant deliver to

I just checked the Omega Extranet to see if there were any technical bulletins related to the case of this watch, and there aren’t any.

While it’s possible there is some problem that they have yet to release any documentation about, I would take this information with a grain of salt until confirmed...

For someone who only has about 10 posts on this forum, you come in with a seriously rude, arrogant and condescending attitude, don’t you?
First of, if you would really know your stuff, you would know that the Speedy Tuesday 1 “Tribute to Project Alaska” was not released in 2012… it was only a limited production of 2012 pieces. Duh!
So, while we are waiting for any tangible info you may have about an upcoming new release celebrating the Project Alaska, why don’t you go to learn proper manners and basic educate, huh?!

Could be wrong, but ST1 was celebrating black dialed Alaska III.

The white-dialed Alaska II, though, was 1972 - which would be 50 years next.

The Alaska II is what I thought the newcomer must be speaking of (despite Omega having essentially already made a commemorative of the white-dialed Alaska II).

But instead a commemorative edition of the ST1!?!?

If there is some 50th anniversary edition of the Alaska II (or another Alaska) in the pipeline, and if the newcomer has some legitimate info on this hitherto unknown special edition watch he should tell us what he knows. But I suspect he is just guessing, otherwise known as 'blowing smoke'.

I have no idea what’s coming next…I used to think maybe they will go like the Dark Side/ Bell&Ross variants and do a blacked out Speedy or a super-Lume version? It’s hard to keep trolling the archives as those have largely been done and there are for sure budget constraints which keep the focus on dials/hands/casebacks and finishing. So if it’s not a commemoration of some kind it could be something like a bead blasted case? Or ST3 is an NFT? Only a month or so to wait…if it’s going to be a Jan announcement.

I thought you were waiting for yours on an AD not boutique…
I signed up a year ago in the boutique, but I would have liked more to have bought it in my AD, but at the moment it is only sold in the boutique.

I didn't get a stuffed Snoopy from my OB.

I feel like telling Mr “So that if you are a genuine collector and have some patience, you will get the watch” Aeschlimann that he can go stuff his Snoopy alright, haha! 😒😜

Nice Xmas surprise, and yes, it looks good on both straps - although unfortunately no sun when I switched to the Apollo 50th strap
