I would be more peeved if I was waiting over a year with a paid deposit, but since I'm just on some random unpaid list somewhere, I dont mind.

If I get the call, it'll be a nice surprise. If not, no big deal.

What about the full deposits Goldsmiths took from people have they all been returned?

Meanwhile, 41 listed on Chrono24. 5 only in Spain.
That’s not bad at all.
Omega is doing a decent job. Of course it’s impossible to completely avoid flippers, and the number will increase with the deliveries to the ADs, but the rate of flipping seems lower than other hot steel sport models.

It's not possible to say 'that's not bad at all' when we don't know how many Snoopy's have been delivered. Forty one listed on Chrono24 sounds like a lot to me. In comparison, there are about 43 Apollo 11 50th for sale now on Chrono24, but there were 6,969 made, so about 0.6% of the total. That's pretty low for a large production edition just two years old. The number of Snoopy's delivered so far must be a lot less than 6,969. I believe there is a LOT of flipping going around, not all show up on places like Chrono24, many are hush hush between the original buyer and the flippee buyer. It is what it is, the watch will seek its market value which right now is a lot more than the MSRP of <$10k.

I agree with your point, as nobody knows the denominator. My comparison is with other hot sport models, we don’t know the denominator for those as well, and they are getting flipped at a higher rate.
I believe Omega strategy is working, in part. It’s not perfect… of course.

It depends on country and currency, but I believe the A11 50th steel is going for about 60% above retail. Makes the the A11 50th moonshine, possibly the nicest speedmaster ever, look like a sleeper that is a safe investment bet as I think it can be acquired for not much more than retail.

If the A11 50th is trading around 60% above retail, whereas the newest Snoopy is trading around 300% of retail, I’d expect there to be a disproportionate proportion of Snoopy’s trading

I think this re-affirms the argument that fewer snoopy’s have been delivered and fewer are flipping relative to A11 50th. I suspect there is fewer than 2K deliveries so far.

There was one more delivery today!!!

I got the call and got my Snoopy. I asked for the 3861 Speedy sapphire bracelet but the OB didn't have any in stock. I'm not too sure if I want to go with the 3861 or flat link just yet.

Awesome - long time coming! Congrats!
Cheers Steve. It certainly has. Caught me completely off guard to get the call.

I know a lot of people are still waiting so I won’t overdo the praise but I really really like this one.

Seems there was just a batch sent out, I just got the call as well yesterday and package arrived today from US OB.

And yeah, will hold back as well, all I have to say is pictures don’t do justice. 👍

So how long is it going to take Omega to fill the 20,000 order backlog?

https://wwd.com/business-news/retail/omega-boutique-san-franciscos-union-square-1235000102/

"It’s really something that I pushed very much, about continuing to develop and continuing to even launch some new products. One is called the Silver Snoopy Award that is probably the most looked at - there’s more than 20,000 back orders on this watch, you know - that we launched during this pandemic,” he said, referring to the 50th anniversary timepiece honoring the “Silver Snoopy Award” bestowed on Omega from NASA astronauts in 1970.

20,000 back orders... they are not going to deliver all of them within the next 2-3 years.
This number is including people on the list without deposit and with no allocation guaranteed.
doesn’t add much, we knew the request was to the roof.
