I thought Omega said that it will be limited production because of the caseback. They can't just make a crap ton due to production capacities.

Hi y'ALL,

I pulled my deposit from my UK AD today I was No 1 on their list, a few things have cheesed me off -

No show of watch and no info from AD as to how long the wait will be.
No limit to actual production run which renders this as only a nice/interesting watch in my book.
In the cold light of day I think its far to expensive for what it is and I've been offered a Daytona at retail.

So thats it, no regrets its done.................I feel a lot happier not waiting for a watch that might still be 3 -6 months away.

50th anniversary was a LE with 7k made and sold with people asking still for one.
So expect a lot more than 10k for Snoopy.

Omega has never been Rolex and has had watches the whole time during Rolex’s shenanigans.
Why do people think Omega is taking pages out of the Rolex book.

But we can go around for 3 years as no one knows but I did hear from the CEO of Omega in Australia that demand is very very significant and Omega is committed to filling the orders of people that have showed interest so far and in the next 3 years.

Maybe Covid is slowing things down for the moment?

forever if you are no VIP

It is oxymoron when Rolex owners complain about 2 months waiting for other models without notice.

Some communication would be great, particularly as Omega appear to have delayed the start of distribution. I am wondering if they have been caught out by the level of demand and are re thinking allocation strategy and production run.

I still firmly believe production will be limited by the design.

I don't think this piece is overpriced next to a Daytona and might even look reasonable value once the pricing on the new standard Moonwatch is revealed

It is a limited production I've read it somewhere. It has to be limited in time, its a anniversary. They need to be able to have Snoopy 4

Such optimism, I like it.

Laughed when someone mentioned the other day they were waiting to go on a Daytona waiting list.
Rolex isn’t accepting any more on the waiting list so he was asked to check back with the boutique periodically.

So you have to wait to go on a wait list

I think the last sentence is very valid. The price is quite high, but in comparison to when they out the new speedies out at around £6k I think it will make more sense. I’ve always thought that the Apollo 11 was quite well priced at a smidge over £7 grand for that very reason.

Curious what aspect of the design you feel will be the limiting factor?

The caseback.

I appreciate it is not high horology but still not your average presentation

I left my interest on a BLRO the day it was released at Baselworld. I have not heard back since. Also told my AD I wanted a Daytona back in 2016. Zilch so far. One man can wait!

Well, yes I get that...I was wondering if there was something specific that you believed would be the delay due to complexity, lack of resources, etc.
