Number on top line

Honorable administrators.
After the upgrade, in the top line where it says Forums etc. there is a red box at the end of "Latest" with a number in it.
I've marked all threads as read thinking it was unread threads, but it's still there.
What is it representing?

Experienced the same once only, refreshing the page will probably get rid of it.

If you click on the red number it will take you to a page that has an "Alerts" tab on it. Go to this tab and it will tell you who has "Liked" your posts. When you go back to the forum, the red number will have gone.

Well not always. I now have a dreaded red box with a number one which takes me to the auctions and on returning it's still there.

I also had that once, but I put it down to inaccurate cursor placement, not entirely unconnected with Oyster Bay Merlot.

Anyone else think this is going to be a FAQ? Maybe it would help if clicking on the number took you directly to the alerts tab?
