·Up for sale is a very nice, original 1959 9004 ref Longines Conquest Calendar - the first Conquest calendar reference. The original non-luminous dial has developed a pleasing patina and the case remains very sharp with a stunning “fish in kelp” caseback medallion. Longines archive info indicates delivery to Hong Kong in October 1959. See below for more information, and feel free to message me with questions.
Dial: Original, non-refinished multi tone dial has developed a pleasing, fairly even patina. Features non-luminous markers and hands, which I find particularly attractive on these 900* refs.
Case: Original 35mm 9004 ref stainless steel case is in outstanding, seemingly unpolished condition. The bevels on the lugs are still sharp, and the “fish in kelp” medallion on the caseback is about as nice as they get. If you’re not familiar, the green enamel is almost always worn off on these 1950s pieces.
Crown: Original signed crown.
Crystal: Correct cyclops replacement crystal was recently installed during service. I believe cyclops / no cyclops was an option when new as I’ve seen seemingly all-original Conquest Calendars both with and without. I prefer the cyclops myself - it adds some character along with the unique date window positioning.
Movement: Original 19ASD automatic movement was recently serviced by Chandler at CLTimeworks and comes with a 1yr service warranty.
Strap: Comes on your choice of the brown or orange straps pictured.
Archive info: See photo below.
Price is $1000 (reduced from $1250) shipped globally. Bank transfer/Wise (or similar) for payment. OF seller reviews are here. Returns are accepted if the watch is grossly misrepresented. Watch is located in the USA.
