    Now that's a MARDI GRASshopper.

Does the NZ Weta "attack" like the similar looking 'Parktown Prawn' of South Africa?

Yes, and three could crack it, but it would only be enough to feed one.

How do you know so much about grasshoppers?

Well, you have to know these things when you're Australian, you know.

They are a great fishing bait. ;)

The fish up my way are known to take baby ducks. ( but with all the crocodiles ducks don't spend much time in the water :cautious: )

I have a pond and a hatchling duck has a half life of around 6 hours following Mommy duck in and out of the pond. They are called Large Mouth Bass for a reason. I have seen them wipe out 7 of 9 in one day.

Worth reading for this metaphor alone:

"Surf photographer Peter Jovic saw the attack on Mr Travaglini and said everyone was 'walking around like stunned mullets' afterwards."

Bass is about the same taste as carp. Not very good at all. Bluegill are good but it takes so many to make a meal. Best around these parts are Walleye.
