They tranked it and carried it away. I did have the news paper phot of four deputies carrying the zonked out bear, it was very funny looking. Black Bear in Tennessee are not as big or as easy to anger as they are in the Northern states. Up North Black Bear aren't as likely to attack people but are more likely to kill the people they do attack. Brown Bear often maul a person and leave them for dead but Black bear will start to feed right off and few victims survive that. Fatal bear attacks are rare here and usually involve uncommonly large specimens. Few adult blackie get over 350 pounds but a near 600 pounder killed at partly ate a child some years back even after an off duty police woman emptied a PPK into it at close range. Locally Blackies seldom get over 160 or so. though they seem to continue to grow as long as they live. In Pennsylvania the bears are much bigger than they are here. I once thought a large stray dog was digging in a roadside trash can and went to try to check its collar if any. Turned out it was a very large cub around 75-80 pounds. It took a swipe at me and glared at me while standing on its hind legs then ran off. luckily no she bear was around. The cub looked to be old enough to be on his own. Had another bear encounter but its a long story, may tell it later.
Wow, i only have had encounters with black in the mountains of North Georgia, none of them seemed to big which made me wary of sows being around, herding a group of people through the area and seeing the form of a bear at night was tense.

My hair line is exactly where it was in high school. unfortunately my face slid out from under it and dropped four inches.
I always say I haven't lost any hair at all. It's just migrating south, from the top of my head to my ears, nose, shoulders, chin.
