Forgive me if this has been posted previously, but...WOW! The Aussie who posted it said that he had heard (I'm paraphrasing) a big racket on the roof, and saw this when he looked outside. YIKES!

Not that Australian, in Darwin he would have had he’s shirt off, beer in his hand and the language would have been more colourful.

“Hey dickheads, get off the f🤬en lawn”

I spit my coffee out and just missed my keyboard!

We had a carpet python climb onto our balcony & try to eat our Maltese terrier cross. Our other dog headed it off while I did my best impression of someone who knew what they were doing, and used a broom to push it back off the balcony & into the rainforest down the back. It was at least 2 1/2 meters long. Here are a few shots:

A shot from my phone as I held 2 dogs back with a broom in my other hand:

Once I wrangled it back, it climbed a big paperback in the backyard - I ran & fetched my SLR & managed to get this shot:

The two idiots - safe & sound.

You need to keep chooks out the back. The dogs will never be bothered again.

(Note: Re-fill chook pen every three months).

Actually, it’s Note: Don’t ever fill chook pen again 🙁.

The carpet snake that got in our chook house just sat there slowly eating its dinner of raw chicken while the chicken’s two siblings sat at the other end of the house, traumatised. Worst thing was, after half an hour the snake decided to bugger off, leaving me to deal with a dead chicken that looked normal from its back end while its front was all squished to snake-edible size 🤮

Looks like the bird on the right is a killer with the ladies 😉

Great action shot though, you don’t see these kind of pictures in twitcher’s guidebooks

You seem to have an interest in things avian so here are 2 subsequent shots. I think she's saying "Enough Now!" in the last one.

Have a few huntsman that live on the roof. They a regularly seen scampering across the roof to catch insects ( good mosquito catchers )
Living with a entomologist I’m only allowed to kill cockroaches.
