·You lucky ducks! I worked for a long time at 71 degrees north and never saw it, I saw it once as a kid at 59 degrees but wasn`t that spectacular.

·Fabulous, thank you for sharing. Unfortunately not visible from big cities due to excessive light pollution, but they were seen as far south as Switzerland and southern France.

We could see some of the color with the naked eye but the cameras were definitely able to pick up a lot more. The sky was unmistakably lit up, the later it got the more trouble our cell phone camera had taking pictures but the cooler it looked. Even without a lot of color you could see the beams of light shifting and moving around.
Very thankful I had an opportunity to see it!
