I have friends who still wear watches -- although one of them thinks £20 is the limit to spend for a watch. He'll bid many thousands for just one old china plate at auction though Didn't get it, he went to £5000 and it hammered at £30000. Ok I’ll confess, this is a temporary lapse, biking to work every day in rainy weather is a risky business for vintage watches.
