Interestingly, I stopped at my AD this afternoon and they had a BUNCH of display models (Explorer 1,Explorer 2 polar dial, batgirl, TT Dayto, Milgauss, SS Skydweller Blue dial, etc…) and although the sales person thought they had no movement, I gave it a try and they all started. The manager later stopped by and said “yeah, they have a movement… but no papers for these!”
Not completely sure what to make of it, but there you have it.

And here are some pics (or it didn’t happen!! 😀 ):
Is it possible that these display models have got cheap Chinese made movements in them? Hence no papers as these aren't the full monty articles for sale.

I got this 36mm green OP after a 2 day wait . No prior purchase at the AD (or from any AD, ever). I did do my best to befriend two of the sales people at a local watch group meet up two days before, and I brought my lovable canine companion to the store as per their request.

And yes, I am fully aware of my excellent luck. I suggest you all bring in your adorable pets to win over the hearts of the salespeople.

Actually, you may have missed the point of this thread, which is explicitly to mock posts like yours. 😜

No, I was aware, and wanted to give others hope beyond getting a catalogue.

I hate to say it, but that’s a really pretty watch. Damn you Rolex!!
And I think you owe your dog a very special treat- perhaps a large plate of prosciutto.

Last week, I walked into a local AD to try their exhibition watches. The salesperson was nice, she told me don’t give up keep waiting. Before I walked out, they offered me a …..lady datejust.

Why is it a gender thing, some men may just enjoy wearing small watches. Rolex really needs to stop perpetuating these gender stereotypes!😉
If The likes of Sinatra or Elvis could wear a 29mm beauty like this, so can I!

Suck it Rolex, you will never make anything this beautiful.
