Hi, Wish it would be a group photo of mines but it is 'only' my new 2110 arrived this week with a some breitling brochures.
If anyone knows where to find nice versions of the above racing straps (the one on the 2110 & datora), this would be great to share
I’ve got only one: These were worn by the German Air Force before the family OK’d the use of the name a few years later for the Breitling reference 768.
There is a Breitling forum Brietling Source. As to why you don't see many here, it's probably because the crowd here seems to be into Omega's of course, and many are into vintage pieces that are not Omegas. Although Breitling has a great legacy, it is similar to many brands who lost there way. Look at Longines. One thing is today Longines offer modern pieces at a lower price point, while Breitling continues to put it's product as a luxury brand and the prices are higher at retail, but the product is available often at a discount. If you look for value in watches you can find it on the secondary market in several brands who make really good watches but just don't get followed by the masses.
Pretty sure those old straps were Corfam and that material didn't really last so basically none available now (same thing for old Heuer).
Immense love for Breitling on my end! Started with seeing the Aerospace on my dad's wrist daily for >20 years. Bought my first costly watch which was the surprise surprise Aerospace Evo Night Mission which I sold for a Frederique Constant (which I regret, but now the FC is now sold). Love of chronographs now has a lovely Top Time 810 Mk 1.1 dial on my wrist.
My beloved Mk1 Top Time 810. This is my favourite watch after my Constellation 2852 and my Watchco SM300.
This is a private label Breitling Premier from 1946, made for the well-known Belgian jeweller Tollet.
I'm not a fan of their modern finishes. The polished finish looks like cheap chrome. The brished looks like they are bead blasted in a high school shop class and the pvd looks... Thick andc hunky. I've tried a ton of them on. I only owned one for 2 days. That wasong enough.
The restrained beauty of simpleness, a 3-hander. All there what’s needed, nothing else! 1964 Breitling Geneve in 18K Gold.
