Hey people, I'm trying to find out more about my late Father's Nivada c.1950 I tried the Company but they say they no longer have the records due to various changes in the Company's fortunes. The Company's history seems quite well documented but have any of you any greater knowledge of the models and years? Know any resources I could try?
Well the compnay went bust sometime ago and the guys who run nivada now just bought the name as far as i know, so no luck there. Maybe by the serial number of the movement you could dig something up. It probably is a landeron of some short.
There are not too many resources, but this chronograph would have been produced around 1955, it has a wonderful clamshell case, probably produced by Schmidt. And the movement is probably a Venus 210 or a Landeron. A very nice watch, well preserved!
