The current SMP is the only one I like from the bunch. Slight bracelet taper, maybe lose the HEV since they did for POs and spruce up the 8800 because it's quite boring to look at, leave the rest as is.
Thinking about this more, I could stand a bezel with better gripping surface. I don't seem to have as much suffix as some but it could be better. It doesn't have to be as industrial as the Marathon GSAR but the Monta Oceanking and Scurfa Diver One 300 and 500 are exceptional. I know, I know, the scalloped bezel is to Seamaster 300m Pro as anything and I was pining to have none of those other features deleted or "improved" a few posts up but it would be easier to function with this change.
I bought the Seamaster partly because of the scalloped bezel which I think gives it a sheer and rather unique elegance. I do not really care about improving its ergonomics other than what’s inside… I would love a calibre with an increased power reserve, perhaps two barrels, decorated titanium plates, decorated titanium oscillating weight frame, precious metal oscillator weight…

I am team PO but I can appreciate the scalloped bezel as a SMP identifying feature compared to other dive watches. Overall the SMP is kinda like an 80’s Swatch to me. Fun lots of style and cool colors, but as far as SMP function goes it seems secondary to style. The slippery bezel and skeleton hands look nice but are a no go for me as far as using the bezel or quickly reading time are concerned. But heck that’s what phones are for. Watches are about something greater imo.
For upgrades I would like Omega to either lose the waves all together or do something different for a bit, no date, upgrade the movement, lume the bezel, and maybe add a new bracelet style option. On the wish list is a big triangle sword hand version, but I suspect something like that may appear in the SM heritage line.
