··Sunburst dial fanIt may be fairly priced for the condition, I don't know, but I still wouldn't buy it. The dial kills it for me, it's not only the scratch that you highlighted, but also one at 11 o'clock, at 4 and above the "Automatic" text. I'm more forgiving on polished cases (which this one is) than others if the dial is in a nice condition, but it's obviously not the case. I'd save the €400 and spend slightly more on a nicer example which you will enjoy for longer.
As for the ref. I believe it's a 2577, not a 2576 (which has a subdial).
I don’t for a moment disagree with your perspective (and you’re right about the calibre) and I entirely agree with about the case (although it’s not so polished as to have removed the faint scratch marks) but @nutsum has indicated that he “can live with” the dial and I think that this raises an alternative perspective.
We regularly see highly patinated but much loved vintage watches posted. I, perhaps like you, have a pretty limited tolerance of patina.
That said, photos highlight all manner of marks, scratches and wrist hairs that are negligible and barely noticeable when one’s wearing a particular watch.
70 year old 2577s, unless they’ve never been worn (more likely with solid gold rather than stainless steel) will inevitably have scratched surfaces. More often than not, they’ll have been redialled.
So, notwithstanding your post, and with my earlier caveat about the movement, I don’t think that this is a bad deal for what is arguably a reasonable watch.
