Do you think this is a crack in the movement? It has me a bit concerned. I’m not sure how much it would be to fix

Unlikely - the weighted portion of the rotor is made of tungsten, so cracking there would be very uncommon. The only cracking I've ever seen on an automatic rotor was on Rolex watches...

Thanks for the info. Seller wants to use Wise for payment but I’m a bit weary. I’m going to be purchasing through the watches exchange subreddit on Reddit

Best is to ask for more photos under stronger light or daylight. Or even facetime / video call with the seller. Unlikely to crack at that spot though imo… could be a tool mark?

I don't see how it could crack like that without showing other significant wear. It must surely just be a scratch from a previous service. If the price is good, I wouldn't worry about it. If it really bugs you, I guess you could get that part replaced - no idea what it's worth though.

In terms of buying this watch, ever heard the phrase "buy the seller" - very much applies here. If the seller is well reviewed and seems trustworthy, I would do it. If you're uncomfortable, or this is a lot of money for you, I would pass and buy from somewhere with buyer protection to save the risk.

Thanks. My fear is having to get it serviced immediately after I purchase it. It’s already +10 spd from what I see. Also, $700 for a full service would be another cost on this watch but what I’m more concerned on is the turn around time

You should ask other member for a trusted watchmaker where you live. 700 is too much IMO

As a general rule I would budget to service any watch I buy used without recent service paperwork anyway. But that's just me, some people wear unserviced watches for decades until they stop working. 😜

Depends on the country and currency though. My local watchmaker, who is an Omega authorised service centre, would charge $1060 AUD for this.

Yeah I know. My watchmaker would charge 32 bucks for a full service. Still he charges a lot more than others, who offer 20 bucks 😀). Here is my 166.010 after a full service yesterday. 32usd for the service and 24 usd for replacing the axis of rotor that cause the rotor’s collision with the case back. And of course I just need to wait 2 days for the service and 3 days to fine-tune the movement.

That’s a really good price. I’m just getting these prices from the omega website and I live in NYC so it can’t be cheap lol

After reading this thread, it sounds to me like you are doing everything possible to talk yourself out of this purchase. Clearly you are not comfortable with it, and honestly I don't have a good impression of reddit sellers. Why not find a reliable high-volume US-based seller of pre-owned watches. This is not a rare or obscure watch, it's a commodity. If you think you're getting a huge bargain buying on a sketchy site from an unknown quantity, you're probably setting yourself up for disappointment.

Yeah good points. I’m just skeptical is all. This is the seller profilehttps://www.reddit.com/u/unfortunate_muffun/s/QYthpkg2j1

For what it's worth, the watchexchange subreddit is moderated and has a bot setup to track and record successful transactions. I'd have a similar level of confidence buying sight unseen from a high transaction seller on there as I would on this forum. Buying from a seller without a track record, though, is not much different than buying from someone on OF with 201 posts. 😜

The seller OP is looking at has made 62 successful transactions on the sub, including to 8 different members who themselves have at least 20 transactions each. They also have a Carousell page with 5 stars across 353 reviews where they claim to be an "ACRA-registered licensed watch dealer" in Singapore, and they have a Singaporean "UEN" which can be looked up on the Singapore gov website and matches their trading name.
