Dear Forum, I have been researching vintage Omega's over the last 6 months and am keen to buy my first one, I have been looking on eBay and seen various pro's and con's... I was wondering if anyone could give me an opinion on the below; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Omega-Se...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Best wishes & thanks in advance
I am also looking at this one: https://www.chrono24.co.uk/omega/19...--logo-mens-vintage-watch-uhr--id12392405.htm
Hey. The experts will chime in shortly with the advice you're looking for. But you'll make their lives a lot easier if you post pics of the watch/watches directly in this thread. It saves people jumping back and forth between tabs. Also if you've specific concerns about a piece state them here. It gives folks a guide on where to focus particular scrutiny. Good luck.
Thank you for the advice @Dedalus05 have posted pics as advised of the watch in the second link (which is the one I am favouring). I am just after general opinions on whether people think this looks to be genuine. Looking on Chrono24 reviews of seller are all positive & they authenticate. Also woth addig it is priced at just under £800 and dates to 1958. Caliber 501, Jewels 20 Following all the advice on this Forum people seem to regret buying then asking, so here I am asking before buying
The ebay seller is known for repainting dials and overpolishing cases. The chrono24 watch is a redial. I can tell from the spacing of the minute markers and the fact that the seller said it is. Take your time and continue your education. You'll find the right watch.
I'm going to recommend this one. https://omegaforums.net/threads/2846-1-sc-omega-seamaster-on-1036-bracelet.107588/#post-1412511 If you're interested, you'll need to PM the seller as you have insufficient posts to buy through the site.
