·Hello fellow members,
Even though I said no more watches this year, the collection got a new member.
The case is very unusual and does not look like the typical horn lug case that can be seen on Seamasters. After searching online and with help of few members, I’m pretty sure its gold plated ref. 2712-3 made for French market. Between lugs is mark 80 (microns) & PB (Paul Bovier - casemaker). Movement inside should be cal. 266. My WM is away for holidays, case can’t be opened to confirm but will do that as soon as possible.
The lightly patinated dial has small smudges but this is not visible when worn. Print on dial is crisp with thin arrowhead markers and subdial at 6. Hands seem to be correct.
Crown is modern replacement so now I’m looking for period correct one. Any advice is welcome from you guys. 😁
Hope you like!
Stay safe and Merry Christmas to you all!
Tom
