Hi folks, I recently picked this Omega from a greymarket dealer in Ireland. - From my research to date I can tell you that this watch is a ref 2750-3 steel case with a cal. 266 movement. - The face has gold batons and with gold hands and a sub-second dial. - The case measures ~ 34cm without the crown and the lug width is ~ 18cm - The serial begins in 1401****. - I understand this watch can be dated to approx. 1954. Some concerns I have are, there is no 'Swiss Made' reference on the face. The crown, although branded correctly is quite large. Keen to hear everyone's thoughts on this piece. I hope it's not a ringer!
Reference 2750 is not a Seamaster and even if it were the dial is poorly refinished, crown is incorrect as well, doesn't even look genuine, case also has some very heavy pitting. I would return it if you can, ask questions first next time, sorry.
It happened to pretty much all of us. Learn from your mistakes, and if you have questions about a Watch ,we are glad to help in the assessment process before the purchase. Good hunt, may the next one be a piece that makes you happy.
