·it's 2828 with cal 470. I'd like to take better pictures of the dial. my phone can't focus up close to the dial and I need to get out that scratch in the crystal. What in particular is the issue with the dial in your opinion, based on the pictures?

The dial is stained and dirty, it’s pretty far gone. It may look charming in hand but it has a lot of patina.

The 470 has the virtue of being the first Omega full rotor auto but tends to be found in smaller sized pieces. The full size version was the 500 series. If as I suspect this is a circa. 31-32mm piece then it won’t be massively desirable to a modern audience (well the male half who tend to buy most vintage watches). Just managing your expectations, sorry if the news isn’t great.

Do collector's discriminate as to the dial size in the same way that your standard watch-buying citizen might?
As to the state of the dial, is there anything you recommend doing about it or am I stuck?
