This is a fun one. Somewhat hard to research as the same watch seems to have three dial iterations between this one, the Datron and the Zenith (with no Movado branding). Is there anywhere to learn more about this/these watches? There is not the same copious info as with the Zenith El Primero's...
Anyway, I am digging this one 😀

I just recently bought a 70s Movado Datron in an auction for 2000 € flat. With the original stainless steel bracelet. All really fine, crisp unpolished case (without dents), perfect dial, all functions perfect, only the plastic crystal showing a microscopic slightly dull flaw. However, the bracelet needs a little work because of a bodge of some heavy handed person. But that will be done within a hour or two this weekend and become invisible. 😀

Compare this with any Zenith El Primero watch on the market. Movado Datrons are great value for money.

Cheers, Bernhard

Mission accomplished, including a few photos and testing on the timer. An average of -2 seconds per day, with a variation of max. 7 seconds in the positions. And high amplitude.

The case still needs a careful cleaning up,obviously (not polishing!)
