Hi all I have just purchased a omega speedmaster pro 1969 it's on it's way as we speak
Hope I have not been scammed got it off the BAY
Pic looked good thou
Would love some advice on
The bezel has 2 chips in it can this be repaired ?
The watch strap is leather and I would love a metel bracelet type can u buy vintage ones 1969 ?
If not will NOS one from omega do
The bezel is one of the ones with 220 on it which I like I haven't brought it to make money but do they hold the same price value as the 200,s
It has no box r papers is this bad and can u get them ......?????

My wife has already had had up to hear and she dosn,t know that I have brought 2 watches the other one is a pocket watch

Hi Paul,

Welcome to the forum. Great first Omega!
don't think you can make a succesfull repair of a chipped bezel and new ones are the wrong style so I guess you live with the vintage look or keep your eye out for a good vintage one.
You can find correct period straps, it would have had an Omega ref 1039 or maybe 1035 flat-link bracelet most likely, but they are hard to find in good condition and cost a fair amount when you do ($500 + with the correct 516 end-pieces).
You can buy a new 1171 bracelet from Omega but they are not that much cheaper.
You can easily pick up a 60's box on ebay.

I fear the 2 watches you have bought are going to be the tip of the iceberg!
