New strap for my PO 8500

I had this croc/alligator/caiman strap in my watch drawer for the last 4-5 years and just remembered it was a 22mm - the same lug width as the PO.

It is very comfortable. What do you think? It's needs a little more padding, but I kinda like it.

I like the oem rubber better. I don't like the empty space between the lugs. The second picture really shows this.

Rob, is that the 45.5 or 42mm. I'm lusting after the same combo as yours on the black with orange stitching rubber strap in a 42 mm. Your photos aren't making things easy for me. Lol.

I am drooling with want for the 8500! Oh, and the strap looks fantastic too. Here is a pic of my PO on its alligator.

It doesn't look bad, just a little out of place. I mean that a flat leather or buffalo grain instead of croc looks more appropriate with a sport watch.
