Hello all!

I was on instagram today, and a guy posted that he received the "new speedy buckle with push button adjust" as a gift.

He installed it on his 3861 Speedy moon.

What the heck? I hadn't heard of this.

Is there such a thing? Can anyone elaborate on this?

I'm hoping the reports about an official Speedmaster Professional version coming soon are accurate. That would be a nice little addition.

I’d love that as well. Moving forward, all the bracelets on all Omegas without hidden clasps should have micro adjustments available.

I think that's the reason Omega is not selling the links to fit Chronoscope clasp to 3861 bracelets, although it exists and reference has been posted here

That's totally different, 1861 bracelet.

I figured. I was just offering the information I had. Probably why I said "may nor may not be relevant." 😉

I was eager to try this new clasp and it’s ‘comfort release adjustment system’, I managed to get my hands on a Chronoscope at my local goldsmiths a couple weeks back and disappointingly I found the push and slide mechanism difficult to move, I was hoping it would be easy to use for quick adjustments but ergonomically in my hand I couldn’t get on with it and the sales rep embarrassingly had just as much difficulty using it as me.

That's disappointing to hear! I would have thought they had this down by now. The on-the-fly adjustments in the Omega bracelets I have (4 different adjustable clasps) all work very smoothly. Hopefully it's just very new and sticky (there's a solution with some of the push-button divers to simply swim in the ocean and work the clasp several times before rinsing off) or after years of making a good micro-adjustment in clasps they screwed the pooch on the design.

It's not impossible.

It’s an improvement on the failed design of the current micro extension which leaves that disjointed finish. I would choose this micro adjustment still for its functionality as I fly a lot so its design is more beneficial to me. Though I might get annoyed with adjusting the thing!

I think Omega should do a special edition JB/Forstner Speedmaster, unlimited on the fly adjustments and practically what most of the ladies and gents at NASA chose to use anyway.
