I'm seeing there is an adjustable clasp on the new Chronoscope that Omega just released. It says it's a 21mm bracelet but tapers to 15mm at the clasp. Soooooo I'm thinking you can fit this on the the 20mm moonwatch that tapers to 15mm.......they look identical at the clasp. So might need a new end link or two but it should work..... Anyone have any insight into if they think this will work?

I'm not sure about the clasp on the new Chronoscope, but I recently replaced the clasp on my 1861 Speedmaster with an Omega micro-adjustment clasp. Well worth it imo. Check this video out.

Oh I know about the 1861 being converted. I did the same thing on mine. But the new 3861's had no micro adjust clasp before today. It's almost like Omega is listening to us..... ;)

I believe the clasp for both the Chronoscope and the 3861 bracelet are 16mm in width. Having said that my intention is to go to the OB next week after work, inquire about it, and order it.

If anyone knows the part number of the micro adjusted clasp, please feel free to post.

I'll let everybody know how it goes.....

You could be right. I thought it said 15mm. But either way it should fit. Not sure if you need an end link too. But I’m going for it as soon as they say they can order the parts. That might be awhile……

my guess is that you remove the 3861 clasp where the arrows are (see pic below) and that is the micro adj clasp part you order from the Chronoscope bracelet and install it on our Moonwatch bracelets....

I think you have to buy the whole clasp, attach it at the link shown with your arrow, and attach it to the swing arm to the end link that isn't shown.

Somebody in WUS ordered the micro adjustment clasp from the Chronoscope Speedy and it fits the 3861 MW bracelet. Seems like both clasps are the same width....he's got pics and everything....

Don't know if placing the link is allowed, but wanted everybody to know, just go to the Omega section in WUS.....

The part appears to be O117STZ013899 and costs around $211..ouch!!

Thanks for the heads up. I knew someone would try this soon. Looks like it was a success. I wish I knew all the part numbers though. He says to parts are needed and one doesn't give the part number....

Went to the Omega Boutique in Hamburg to also check out the above clasp swap. The Chronoscope clasp is definitely the same width as the regular 3861 clasp (15mm). You don’t get a huge amount of adjustment though; probably even less than on the Tokyo 2020 micro-adjust clasps.
Chronoscope on the left, regular 3861 clasp on the right.

IIRC the adjustment gap on the Tokyo 2020 Speedmaster clasp is 3.8mm, the Chronoscope looks similar, maybe a half link. Handy if your wrist is just that much out of adjustment for a good fit.

I’ll measure them as and when I have both side by side to compare. It’s a welcome improvement but still miles behind the offering on far cheaper watches like the Christopher Ward C65 Tridents.

Just ordered the clasp for my 3861 Speedy at the Hamburg Boutique in Germany.
Is it correct, that I need two new pieces – the clasp and one attachement piece? Because it looks like both bracelet links are different not only one – or is one of them fixed to the clasp and considered to be one piece (the one with the screws)?

I seem to remember Volker (the in-House watchmaker) saying that he only changed one of the end pieces when he did this mod on my 3861 bracelet, but I wasn’t watching the swap so can’t say for sure what was done. I was only billed for „Push- Schließen Ref: 117STZ013899“. Anyway, Volker has already practiced on my bracelet so he knows exactly what to do/which bits to swap on yours, I‘m sure the result we be just fine.

I think I've read somewhere on WUS that you'll need two parts:

    117STZ013899 Chronoscope clasp
118STZ013110 Attachment link for the clasp

That's what I'm gonna order anyways. Fratello said a new clasp with quick adjust will be available to 3861 Speedy Moonwatch in the near future, I wonder if it's gonna be a different clasp. If yes, hopefully it'll have more adjustments than the one 2.3mm slot on the Chronoscope clasp.

Would be nice if the Chronoscope bracelet and clasp was a direct fit for the 9300 powered Speedy Racing.Think they're both 21mm lug width

Hey Guys, wanted to add on to this. I ordered O11STZ013899 (clasp) and asked if they could order me O118STZ013110 (link) and the Omega Boutique said:

"It looks like that part is included with the clasp because they won't let me order it separately. We'll know for sure once it arrives."

    So I'll keep you posted!

I received an email from the Omega boutique. They responded:

"We received information from our watch technicians regarding the clasp and they are highly advising that we do not install that clasp to a timepiece that is not meant to have it because the fit is not a good fit and will very likely fail and we cannot warranty product.

There is another way to make it fit better but this requires a link which is not yet available, if and when this link does become available we will let you know so that we can better assist you with this adjustment."
