After the euphoria settles down, I'm sure you've noticed the caseback gasket has turned to mush and the movement lubricant has likely long dried out. A basic service by a trusted watchmaker would be my first stop -- then wear it with pride!

Yes, indeed, thanks! Already have an appointment. What's amazing though is that the watch is keeping time within about 10 seconds a day and all the chrono functions work perfectly. However, winding was very stiff.

The top push does appear to be sitting out a little more than the bottom.

Yes, maybe a little. They're not always going to be 100 percent matchy matchy. Also, that top one has a little dirt at the stem of the pusher, so who knows what that's doing. We'll see what it looks like when I get it back from the movement service.

The type A2 crystal is detailed in the “Moonwatch Only” book. I’ll try to capture it in a photo. It’s tough using only an iPhone.

So, the first (bad) photo is of my Speedy, showing the A2 type crystal as described in the "Moonwatch Only" book. The logo is faint but you can see it just above the 15 second marker of the constant seconds subdial. The second photo (borrowed) shows a clearer example of the same type crystal. The Omega logo is distinctive with this type of crystal, with just a little flip at the feet, if that makes sense. I'm no expert on these crystals. Just repeating what I read.

I feel like the market hasn't reached a point where people are going crazy about the style of the Omega symbol on the Speedy crystal. It is a part that is kind of considered comsumable. Enjoy the watch. It is beautiful. 👍

I don't know if I'd have the courage to wear it.... that is damn near perfect, collector grade of the highest order. Congrats.

100 percent agree. That's why I'll have no problem changing the crystal during the service. However, I do like knowing that I'll have the original safely tucked away.

Yeah, I saw that too. 🙄 I refrained from commenting about not really wanting to see men's feet in the pics because it isn't a sales listing.

Funny, but fair point! I just figured the watch was so nice, nothing else would be noticed.

Maybe it’s just the screw of the pusher a bit loose, it frequently happens with new and of course vintage Speedies, you won’t notice anymore once back from service 👍
Congrats for this stunning piece of history 😀
Cheers
