Omega [ boutiques and likely ADs ] should be sending out invites to their debut / showing soon, when hearts will pound and coin separated from its possessors, when deposits are handed over - for delivery months later, no doubt.

Get yourselves on the list gents (and ladies) ... if you haven't already 馃榾

There is a blue limited edition in platinum (357 pieces) and then there is a blue titanium version. So black/steel blue/Ti and blue/Pt

I actually do quite like the solid Sedna gold version too

Can't wait to see them all in front of me! I think they all have their distinct appeal...
IMO, the one for me will only become apparent when it's on the wrist! 馃榿

One of the OMEGA Marketing guys has one on his wrist at the moment, very cool, one of the earliest wristshots:

What kind of patina will the fake patina have an twenty years? For me those mirror like, blindingly polished center links do not match dial and hands. It just feels odd. Maybe I'll feel different once I see one in person.

I'm probably just being lazy and not reading back through all of the posts (I have read them as this thread has gone along) but do we reckon that the arse is going to drop out of the Watchco franken/homage (call them what you will) market with the release of these watches and all they will be worth is the sum of the parts?

Hard to say really, original pieces IMO will be on the rise but watchcos are the later style '67 SM300 so they may be different enough to hold their value.

Considering a Watchco model is about 1/3 of the price of the new one, I doubt that the market for the Watchco will be impacted substantially.

I called into my local AD the other day for a chat about the new seamaster. Surprisingly the chap said they expect delivery to start in august, not November.

However, he also said they won't have a demo/shop model and will basically be getting one in at a time. They'll then contact people on the waiting list and order a new one in when they sell the first one.

Is that normal? Either they expect you to buy a 4 grand watch without trying it on, or you can try it on and if you buy it, it may have been worn by a cluster of guys before you who turned it down. If I'm paying that price for a watch, from an AD I was expecting it would be a certified virgin, which had known no ones wrist other than mine?

Sure looks sweet in those non-altered live snaps.

What's the lug width? 20mm?

would look sweet on Alligator...

See your point... but... sometimes if you really want something you just have to go for it

I was trying to think of a clever "sloppy seconds" reference when I first saw David's post the other day, but I couldn't come up with anything... I think Puffy nailed it with the image above.
