Is that blue to gray the only difference between the civie vs military (besides the caseback)?

If so, what's the chance that Omega decided to sell a civie model after seeing the buzz about the military one, as opposed to this being a pre-planned roleout?

The military model is still pretty awesome. This civie one feels different.

Seems to be, unless I've missed something. The blue stands out a bit too much for my personal tastes, but I'd still wait to see it in person.

I think it is not so much the colour difference which is giving the buzz about the military version. If the colours were swapped, people would still be hankering for the military version!

Looks okay, but I could do with a lot less writing on the dial

Everything about this piece is perfect to me, except possibly the thickness, but I do definitely think it's great that it's automatic. Will have to see how it sits on the wrist to know whether the thickness is actually an issue or just fodder for more internet moaning.

it is only a GMT feature if you set the chronograph running at exactly the right time and leave it running constantly. Not very practical
Ha, well, I've used this feature on my GSotM a handful of times now 😬 To your point, you do have to start it at midnight or noon, but it works pretty slick for flights and, at least for me, it's not an imposition to do it on travel days since I'm always wearing my watch and always looking for reasons to mess with it.

On the flip side I've yet to time anything with it ... but I'm only a month in.

Yup, pretty sure I'm a weirdo now.

I read about this one and thought I'd love it, but the subdial distance from center looks super awkward, like the moonswatch. 2 sub-dial Speedmasters look odd to me anyway, but the spacing here really ruins it for me.

Colours shouldn't work together but they do. Agree the hesitation is the thickness. Will see how it sits on the wrist.

Was able to try one on earlier at the OB, lighter than it looks due to the bracelet design.
I thought it was nicer on the wrist than on pictures.

Any more of these in the wild yet? The NYC Omega Boutique hasn’t gotten even one yet, or so they say.

I saw one at the NYC Omega Boutique in Battery Park City right before New Years Eve. I liked it and thought it wore really well.

I got to try one on and I really liked it. Proportions felt good in person and I liked the colors and texture of the dial as well.

But something in likely to pick up on my limited budget, but if I had money to burn, I'd give it a go.

I picked up one of these at the end of December 2024 from the Houston OB. I received only the watch, warranty cards and a generic Omega box. The SA told me that the correct kit (watch case, NATO strap, and strap changing tool) had not come in yet; they would mail it to me when it arrives. I contacted them recently to see if the rest of the kit had come in; was told that the entire country had not received any yet. Just wondering if anyone else has bought this watch and received the full kit yet? Is this a usual thing for Omega to do...sell a new watch and not have the accessories to go with it at time of sale? A bit strange honestly...

My guess is the delay with getting the kits out if they're made in China is the time of year. Xmas Eve/Xmas is like Valentine's Day, then with Chinese New Year and Lunar New Year, nothing gets shipped out with the holidays.

I had that happen with my FOIS last year. The OB sent the appropriate box after I received the FOIS.
