Spot on @abrod520!

After accumulating a ten watch collection in a four year time-frame (with no flipping), I imposed a new "only one additional watch per year" rule. So this year, so far, I have only purchased the Speedy Tuesday.

For me the RM is "the one" to buy out of the trilogy, and right now I am seriously tempted to exceed my +1watch/yr rule, as it is a LE. On the other hand, next year I am going to the UK, and I am pretty sure Brexit will be in full f*ck up mode so the pound will not be strong and I should get a 20% VAT discount on any watch purchase, even purchasing from an OB in London. We will probably go to York and Scotland as well, so I might find an AD offering an additional discount "up north". So based on current availability and past history of other less popular LEs, I do think the RM might still be available next year around July.

So my brain says wait until next year...but next week I have business trip to Canada...so if I find one of these beauties in the Omega duty free booth (Toronto Intl)...well I might not resist...naughty boy馃榾
Is there a double-like button? 馃槑

For me, amongst the three, the speedmaster looks the most attractive and the Railmaster looks the least... I won鈥檛 want to have it just because it is a LE

Yes, let鈥檚 keep it under the radar so only watch nerds can enjoy the RMLE.

Please stop posting pictures like that, especially on the strap. I fear someone might change their mind.馃檨

WARNING TO ALL SPECULATORS:

The Railmaster 60th Anniversary LE is the least popular in the Trilogy. It will surely decrease in price next year so stay away from it! Thank you. 馃槣

I surrendered my ST reservation in favour of the RMLE. I found RMLE more appealing and versatile than ST...

By these I mean all of them (the three 60th anniversary and the ST). The hype was massive when they were first getting delivered, but a LOT of people bought these watches with the sole intent of flipping them for profit, and I'm already seeing people struggling to find buyers well in excess of MSRP. There are a couple FS on the forum right now even.

LIke I said, I think it depends on the watch. I think the Speedy Tuesday will hold it's value and as someone else noted once they're all flipped they'll likely be in the hands of a lot of people who will hold onto them. I think it will largely be the same for the 60th anniversary Speedy, but the difference there is the number produced. The anniversary Railmaster and Seamaster I can see being had at a discount. In fact I hope that in 2018 I can find a Railmaster at a pretty significant discount because I'd like to get one.

If you value your collection, do not buy the RMLE. Other pieces deserve your love.

You may have your point but I didn鈥檛 like brushed hands that were not legible under certain light conditions. Alaska Project was all about best legibility!! I felt it didn鈥檛 do justice to that. The dial otherwise is great but already I鈥檝e two Speedies. The QC issues with ST also played certain role in my decision. Anyway some more deserving fan might have got it by now. I鈥檓 happy that I didn鈥檛 flip it for some profit...

@Pun
It was meant to be a joke not related to your decision to sell the ST, but related to your announcement that you鈥檙e more tempted to buy the RMLE. Read the most recent posts and you鈥檒l understand. Sorry for confusing you! 馃憤

Quite right sir! Someone might even confuse the RMLE with one of these...

No, the best approach is to avoid the basic model and max out the extras until you achieve perfection like this excellent E-Type Jag

Munichblue is just speaking in tongues. The bishop of our RMLE cult can be tricky sometimes, especially when he鈥檚 in a state of deep RMLE nirvana.

He did happen to enjoy the ST before his enlightenment, so you can depend on his verbal ironies regarding the RMLE and the ST.

Please join us when you get the RMLE. You chose the right path. 馃榾

Cheers!

I reserved the speedy Tuesday but was planning to drop it if the railmaster tickled my fancy more. The only reason I didn't get it was that the dial is too similar looking to the sm300 co axial, which I have so i decided to keep the speedytuesday. if it turns out to be possible to buy one at a discount then I will probably end up buying one, for me it is the nicest of the trio.

I鈥檝e got both watches and believe me, although there are some similarities regarding the dials, they are totally different watches. The only reason why I consider to sell my SM300 Co-Axial is that I'm looking for a SM300 LE.

i would not hold any of these as investments. . there are far too many and lot of flippers. omega manufactures *way* too many LEs for them to appreciate over time. that said, if you like to wear them, go for it!
