New Ploprof - Seals / Omega Warranty

Bought a new Ploprof 2018 but it was a display model.
22432552104001 or 224.32.55.21.04.001

That said it has a warranty with 2 remaining years. Now this is unworn and sold as new but how concerned if at all should I be about the seals?

Does Omega do free pressure testing say in New York boutique?
Should I be concerned about the seals?

Now I already can hear the comments about every 2 years and how it has to be tested. If I bought this from an Omega boutique new then I shouldn't be concerned about the seals even though it's been siting in the store for an extended time.

What do you guys think?
Can you use the warranty to have them check the seals?

2 remaining years? I don't understand. Most watches sold are "display models." You should have a full warranty, as if it had come straight from Omega yesterday. As for the seals, do you dive? If not, you can get it checked every 3-4 years and be fine. If you do dive, get it checked annually and the store should do it for free if you purchased it there (contingent upon if they have a competent watchmaker and the right equipment).

When he bought it as a display they stamped the card and now I'm going to own it.

No it's not easy to get it pressure checked. Actually here in New York it is a god damn nightmare. Everyone wants to service your watch and no one will do a pressure test.

You can call the boutique and ask about pressure testing...

Honestly overkill by a very very large factor for Scuba.

Maybe I'll do that. I'm sure I'll be alright but lately the seals and getting them checked has really been an issue.
Basically I bought a preownded watch and had such an issue getting tested I ended up selling it instead of putting more money into it.

It is over kill. I'm excited to own an icon. It will sit next to my Speedy.

NO I sold the past watch that I had issues getting pressure testing.

That’s makes way more sense lol.

Personally I dive with an SKX to back up my computer when I remember to bring a watch. As a new diver learning the computer and not a dive watch with tables. The stress of a high dollar watch on your wrist might not be the best idea. Additionally as a new diver your going to be ackward with all the gear you will be wearing and protecting a ploprof might add to your initial anxiety.

I’d avoid it during your training.

FYI I’m a rescue certified diver and taught classes as a Dive Master in Training, which I decided not to persue due to the additional legal responsibility of being a dive master.

Thanks for the advice. I really look forward to learning and (though I say this often) I'm going to really try to treat this watch as a beater and if it takes a hit it, it takes a hit.
