2019 also marks the 50th anniversary of the Omega Alaska Project... made for use on the Lunar Rover and later aboard Space Shuttle flights.
Next year 55 years Speedmaster flight-qualification... looking forward if Omega heritage team will do something with this anniversary...
Whatever they'll do, I hope the renewed Omega museum will be in a similar modern & clear style as the Longines museum in Saint-Imier just 25 kilometers west of Bienne/Biel : https://www.longines.com/company/museum/longines-museum

😕 It looks like some pre-opening photos are floating around on instagram... looks great from what I've seen so far 👍 👍 👍

Hope I will be able to go on a "pilgrimage" during the first two weeks of August...

Final change of thread title, as the new museum is now open.

The last prediction we had was right: "New Omega Museum (July 2019 ready?)"

Are there any pictures from the museum, from the opening to get an impression?

I am just thinking if this is part of the swatch group it may well be holding the story of some more brands beside omega?

There should be a swatch museum, too, if I am right. But this should be separated.

The old museum was so quaint, its sorta sad. They gave us a lunch and tour as students of WOSTEP and there was one lady that seemed to be doing the whole restaurant thing...ply younwith bearnaise sauce and send you to the museum upstairs...sorta dank and dark with some odd stuff in those days (2007).
Glad all the hype about the new museum and anniversary...finally Omega gets some deserved street cred as prices rise...
Waiting to sell a few this year
