How many metal watches has Swatch offered? What case would it use? There is probably not an inconsequential amount of money invested in any of the Speedmaster case supply. They're designed to work and intended to be sold at a price point. Developing and sourcing an entirely new metal case isn't easy or quick and then you're going to want to sell it a requisite price which would seem to me to put it out of want and reach of many Swatch owners. No, I don't think there will be a metal Moonswatch. I don't like the Moonswatch because it looks and seems cheap to me. Even with a metal case, it'll have the same yucky quartz that won't get serviced and be quartz accurate. Nothing special. Nothing special because to cover their costs they'll chop off every corner they can to maybe reach a price people would begin to consider.

I've seen a few metal cased Swatches, nasty cast affairs as far as I can tell.

Back when the all white Snoopy one came out, I walked into a Swatch Boutique as I just wanted to see what it looked like. The very nice young woman working there said they had none left, someone bought half of their inventory when they opened and the others disappeared before 12:00. You could find tonnes of them that afternoon on the local auction website for twice the original price.

They become a lot easier to get. I already got the Desert and Lava. Got the Desert on the afternoon of the day of release. Walked into a swatch store yesterday evening and bought the Lava. I think the hype is over. Also the Snoopy models are not that hard to get here in Switzerland.
The hardest one to get in my experience is the Neptune. Been trying to buy that for ages.

I like the Moonswatches for what they are, fun colorful pieces that you can wear without thinking too much about damaging it or fear of loosing your high end watch.

I'm seeing a lot of them being worn these days. On my way back to London from Singapore earlier this year I saw 2 on the same plane. Another 2 at my 100 person training session and quite regularly on the London Underground. As a very light weight watch snob this gives me more of an inner smile than designer or cheaper brands like Daniel Wellington and even smart watches.

That's nice to read, bringing some traditional watch designs to the mainstream. Enough with this Apple Watch nonsense! lol

Those are some cool colors too. It's nice to have variety.
