Hello guys, I traded my beautiful 30T2RG with this one. Although my friend thinks that I'm on the short end of the trade because he thought the 30t2RG should be more valuable. But I really cannot resist as it is one of my grail watches! I know this is not a pie pan, but personally I prefer the way it ages compared to a pie pan dial. Can't wait to receive it!

Do you have a picture of the watch with movement 30T2Rg?

Not sure I’d agree the trade wasn’t fair. People underestimate how hard it is to find great examples of those Connies, and they do go for a significant premium.

Congrats!

Well, I know that black dialed Connies are hard to find but IMO its harder to find a 30 Rg chronometre in this near mint condition because the lacquer from those years does not stand well over time.
This dial is perfekt! And it has the sought after roman indexes.
And the case has sharp edges which you could easily use to shave...
This watch is one of the best SS 30 Rg chronometres I have seen in the last 10 years...
But maybe I am biased 😉

I was just going to say @mac_omega would pick the Rg and I initially thought I would pick the constellation but by a hair I would pick the Rg. But there is no wrong choice here. I prefer the constellation but as a condition kind of guy the Rg would be my choice because of what Erich said - and he has the best Rgs known to exist.

Thank you for all your input. One of the key reasons that I go with this trade, is the humid weather in Singapore, which I'm afraid will destroy this beautiful RG dial very soon.

It's a pity you didn't sell the 30T2Rg, I would be very interested in buying it. I think you would have won financially if you had sold the Chronometer and bought the Connie. And more people would have been happy.

That is not possible, because the owner of this connie is not interested in a cash deal. I'm been chasing on this connie for a long time...

And even for this straight trade, he has been hesitating for a long time.
