It’s the Artemis Speedmaster 😗

A Speedmaster to go with a space program that is years late, way over budget and still hasn't gotten off the launch pad. What could go wrong here?

A reissue of the Planet Ocean in 41-42mm case and with no date and no helium escape valve.A black bezel insert and not a thick case.

Sounds like a typical Omega LE release ::rimshot::

Totally agree on the best looking speedies. I have a standard professional (.005) hesalite and love it, and I feel that a great other watch to be in the collection next to it would be said panda. I salivate every time I think of the Silver Snoopy Award (which fits the bill just fine for me in that regard - 3861 + panda, even with not black, but a dark blue), however considering how hard it is to get, and that I don't exactly live in a country that Omega sends a ton of limited stuff to (Brazil), I'm holding back on the hopes for that one.

One day maybe 😜
Totally agree.
Despite similarity, couldn't help those two as my only Speedmasters:

Still thinking X-33. The very broad "space related" comment is why I think so. But, I wonder if there will be another release NOT space related...guess we're about 10 days out!

I would love to see a completely new line or case developed for these future missions if it is tied to the Artemis launch. Would be pretty cool if the launch at the Speedy Tuesday event and the Artemis launch happened at the same time as well now that the rocket launch has been rescheduled to the 27th. A 3861 movement with a 100m wr would be an instant buy for me.

If they waited for Artemis, I don’t think we’ll be seeing a release anytime soon….

+1 to this, and hats off to @Longbow .

I would also like to see a significant re-think of the WorldTimer. I have wanted so much to like this watch enough to buy it, perhaps even for my son, who travels. But I just can't. Certainly not at a price point of 8-9k for S/S - and how does that fit in with the AT range anyway?

I would move the WT brand-wise into the Globemaster (geddit?) space, and start simplifying the dial. At the moment, it shares its visual complexity with the modern Constellations - and I don't mean that as a compliment.

The laser ablation technique can be used to superb effect (see Apollo 8), but this isn't it. And when that's on top of curved SM "deck" style patterning, and the dial is then forced to be always blue, it adds up to too much.

No-one needs a watch like this, but it does have cool wrist game potential. I like its ruggedness better than e.g. the JLC equivalent; its price, technology, and thief-appeal much better than Rx. But this is not a mariners' watch, and it should move out of the SM space, change its iconography, lose the clever-but-not-pretty world map, and get some fresh colours.

Well, y'all did ask...

And + 1

I owned both the WT and GM and:
- WT is unfortunately too big in long term, also to my eyes the complication is not legible
- GM is a beautiful watch, but I frankly do not understand the name without GMT hand; GMT would really make it a Globe Master having control of other time zone and being able to change the time quickly with jumping hour hand.

I would only avoid changing the bezel - fluted one is signature of GM, dial-printed 24-hour scale would be more than enough. And 39-40mm size max, the 41mm Annual Calendar version is a monster (had this too for a week, could not wear it).

I am ready to buy a new Omega this week (Canopus Gold Speedmaster). Actually have the appointment at the Omega Boutique tomorrow. Now wondering if I should better wait and see what will be announced. If there is a significant new model coming, then I might regret.

You will not regret buying the Canopus, I love mine on the canvass strap.

I can't imagine they'd bring out anything new in precious metals (sort of been precious metal overload recently from Omega)

So whatever they bring out will be cool but it won't be baller level cool

These variants shine somewhat less brightly than the buttons on Watch Guy's jacket.

Don't mind the new Tissot PRX-y green one.

These seem to be available as of now, based on the video description. From what we saw on Fratello's post, there is something new coming on the 27th that will be revealed on that date, and it's also supposed to be space related, unlike the 57 model. Less than a week until e find out

I would love to see a reissue of a sub 40mm skin diver like the seamaster 120 ref 135.027 and related models.
Manual wind or auto options, friction bezel, the lot.
A true go anywhere, do anything affordable daily driver.
