Personally hoping for a thinner PO or even a ploprof with the new O Megasteel. I'm a bigger guy with a decent sized wrist and absolutely love the ploprof and don't mind the overall width but idk I'm just weird about watch thickness

I was hoping for a sub 6k GMT in maybe the 300M or even Seamaster 300 line (which would be more obviously).

I've given up and ordered the new Zulu Time with the green bezel. I gave the Swatch group plenty of time to earn my mon.... errr...never mind.

Yep...Sep 27 at the Fratello event. I'm thinking 50th anniversary of Apollo XVII "last men on the moon"...not a new Speedy Tuesday watch. I still think a Ploprof release will come at some point...

I'm still holding hope that Omega will eventually launch this for civilians. What an epic combo. I would buy that in an instant

I would like to see a Globemaster GMT, it’s called the Globemaster is should be available as a GMT.
Was just thinking about this yesterday and I came across this epic thread where the OP made the case for it.. makes a ton of sense to me. Omega really needs a wearable true GMT, and the watch market needs a true GMT alternative to the GMT Master II that is 40mm or less, under 13mm thick, with a rotating 24-hour bezel. It really makes sense that Globemaster is the perfect template for it. I'd love to see it available in a variety of classic dial colors - black, white, blue, etc. My only amendments to the design pictured below (from the thread linked above) would be for the bezel numerals to use the Futura font from the OMEGA logo and the minute track of the Aqua Terra. I'd also take the existing Globemaster fluted bezel design as inspiration for the edge of the rotating bezel. Give the people what they want, Omega.

O Megasteel and a couple mm shaved off the thickness is basically my grail diver
I want the civilian release of this blacked out no date seamaster. Preferably with a fully lined aluminum bezel a la NTTD.
Is that an actual watch or just a concept somebody photoshopped up? Looks really nice. Hell even the regular smp 300 with a no date option would be a hit for me.

Actual watch that was released to the Swiss military or something like that. Public found out about it and Omega clarified that it won't be produced for sale to the general public.

+1 to this, and hats off to @Longbow .

I would also like to see a significant re-think of the WorldTimer. I have wanted so much to like this watch enough to buy it, perhaps even for my son, who travels. But I just can't. Certainly not at a price point of 8-9k for S/S - and how does that fit in with the AT range anyway?

I would move the WT brand-wise into the Globemaster (geddit?) space, and start simplifying the dial. At the moment, it shares its visual complexity with the modern Constellations - and I don't mean that as a compliment.

The laser ablation technique can be used to superb effect (see Apollo 8), but this isn't it. And when that's on top of curved SM "deck" style patterning, and the dial is then forced to be always blue, it adds up to too much.

No-one needs a watch like this, but it does have cool wrist game potential. I like its ruggedness better than e.g. the JLC equivalent; its price, technology, and thief-appeal much better than Rx. But this is not a mariners' watch, and it should move out of the SM space, change its iconography, lose the clever-but-not-pretty world map, and get some fresh colours.

Well, y'all did ask...

Sooo… is there anything still planned for 2022, or do we have to wait until March '23?

Sep 27 Fratello event will be an announcement for a new space related watch. Could be Apollo 17. Could also be a revised X-33. Who knows? Also, I personally think we will see a new Ploprof…probably in O-mega Steel.

I've added a Rolex 126710BLNR, a GS SBGM221, and just recently a Longines Zulu time in the last year. I'm now deciding between a GS 9F sports model and a BBPRO for my next purchase. I would rather have spent my money on a proper sports GMT from my Omega. I really think Omega is walking away from a lot of revenue by creating a proper, modern, GMTII competitor. That part of the market is red hot right now and Omega is dragging their feet.

I'll always love Omega, but when you don't have a piece in a segment like that, first time buyers who would've chosen Omega and bonded with the brand for life are developing a taste for the likes of Tudor, Longines, Tag etc...

I feel the same with GO who is also a Swatch Group member.

Please Omega...Sports GMT please!!! The PO is just way too massive for a lot of us.

Thanks for the info. Disappointing that Omega seems to let the 3rd gen Planet Ocean celebrate its 7th birthday before (hopefully!) finally updating it.
